Who is Mengzhang
Azure Lord – Mengzhang is the newest character that was released with Version 2.0 of Aether Gazer. He is a DPS character that can use two elements: Wind and Thunder.
Mengzhang uses Divine Grace to cast his skills and boost their damage and he is sure to bring in a new playstyle with his double element combat. Players can pull for him on either the Precise Scan or the Regular Modifier Scan during the following dates:
January 30th - February 19th

Aerp Ascent
- When in the Still stance: Unleashes Aero Ascent, then quickly retreats, dealing Wind DMG. When Aero Ascent is in CD, it is replaced by Aero Dash.
- Aero Dash: Dashes at an extreme speed at the enemy, dealing Wind DMG. Expends all Nay Marks when a hit is landed, and summons Jade Swords to attack the locked-on enemy based on the number of Nay Marks expended. When Mod switches to the Move stance: this skill is replaced by Aero Break.
- Aero Break: Expends Divine Grace to deal Thunder DMG. This skill may be used alternately during the casting of Stillness in Motion: Thunder or Eternal Prosperity: Thunder. Doing so will change the attack mode and the following DMG of these two skills with more powerful moves.

Stillness in Motion
- When in the Still stance: This skill is replaced by Stillness in Motion: Wind.
- Wind: Skill cast blocks incoming DMG and summons some Jade Swords that attack the locked-on enemy. When this skill is in CD, every hit landed with a normal attack summons Jade Swords of varying numbers which attack the locked-on enemy.
- Jade Sword: Deals Wind DMG and increases Mod's Wind DMG.
- When in the Move stance: This skill is replaced by Stillness in Motion: Thunder.
- Thunder: Expends Divine Grace to deal DMG over two strikes. Depending on when Aero Break is cast alternately with this skill, two follow-on sword moves occur, and each dealing different damage.

Eternal Prosperity
- When in the Still stance: This skill is replaced by Eternal Prosperity: Wind.
- Wind: Skill may only be cast when Divine Grace is at max, dealing Wind DMG. Mod switches to the Move stance, removes all Nay Marks, resets the CD of Eternal Prosperity: Thunder, and summons Thundercloud Strikes to attack targets, dealing Thunder DMG. Switches to the Still stance when Divine Grace is at 0.
- When in the Move stance: This skill is replaced by Eternal Prosperity: Thunder.
- Thunder: Expends Divine Grace to deal DMG over three strikes, with the final strike summoning some Thundercloud Strikes in the area ahead. Depending on when Aero Break is cast alternately with this skill, four follow-on sword moves occur, and each dealing different damage.

Dragon's Lunar Mansions
- Use this to harness the power of the wind and thunder, dealing Thunder DMG. Depending on Mod's stance at the time of casting, increases their Wind or Thunder DMG.
- Grants Ultimate Skill charge whenever Mod or a teammate casts their Ultimate Skill or switches to another stance.

Mengzhang Best Sigils
Given that Mengzhang uses Divine Grace to power up his abilities one of the two sigil sets that he’s going to use is Philosopher's Fantasies, while the other is the newly introduced sigil set - Dragon of the Desolate Sea.
Here is what both sets do and where you should place their parts to make Mengzhang’s damage the best it can be.

- Effect: Increases Divine Grace Mods' Skill DMG by 10%
- Gain 1 Divine Grace every second.
- Positions:

Dragon of the Desolate Sea
- Effect: Increases Wind DMG by 10%
- Increases Crit Rate by 15% for 7s when a Thunder attack hits. Effect triggers once every 9s.
- Also increases Non-DoT Thunder DMG by 7% when a Thunder attack hits.
- Also increases Non-DoT Wind DMG by 7% when a Wind attack hits.

Mengzhang Best Functors
Mengzhang has two functors that he can use. His best one is undoubtedly his Signature Functor - Otherworlder Kui.
However, if you do not have it then you do not need to worry as the shop 5-star option for the Tian Yuan Gen-zone is great for F2P players or those who simply do not have enough wishes!

- Equipped by Azure Lord - Mengzhang grants the following effects:
- Increases Wind DMG. Enhances any Attribute DMG boosts obtained through passives.
- When the Mod lands a Thunder attack on enemies that have been hit by Wind attacks from any team member, the enemies' Thunder RES and Wind RES reduce.
- Increases Crit Rate when a hit is landed on an enemy with lowered Thunder RES.
- Increases Crit DMG when a hit is landed on an enemy with lowered Wind RES.
Second Best Functor:
BUFF
Otherworlder - Zheng
- Increases normal attack DMG when the Modifying Level is not lower than B; Increases Skill DMG when the Modifying Level is not lower than A; Increases Ultimate Skill DMG when the Modifying Level is not lower than S; Further increases all of the effects above when the Modifying Level is at OMEGA.

Mengzhang Best Codes
In Mengzhang he can honestly use any of the three colored Codes. He does well with all three, however, the one that is going to boost his personal damage the most is certainly the Yellow code path.

All in all, Mengzhang is an interesting addition to the Aether Gazer line-up and his unique playstyle of combining two elements allows for interesting combinations and a lot of fun while slaying enemies.
He is certainly a great addition to the Aether Gazer DPS line-up and has the potential to be one of the best DPS characters in the game if built right and, most importantly, played right.
