AFK Journey Guide: How to Increase Affinity - Free Rewards

Hero Affinity is a system in AFK Journey that shows how much you have used certain Heroes and rewards you with Gems and Invite Letters when reaching certain Affinity milestones for all Heroes.

Affinity is an important thing to keep track of when playing the game so that you can get even more Gems and free pulls to get the heroes you want.

In this guide, we’ll go over how you can increase the Affinity with your heroes so that you can get some free rewards.

What is Affinity

Affinity is a gauge in AFK Journey that measures how much you have used certain Heroes. You can find it by opening the Resonating Hall, picking a Hero, and clicking on Affinity in the top right.

Each Hero has a maximum Affinity of 4500, and you can learn more about each Hero and get rewards when reaching certain milestones. The milestones and rewards for each Hero are the following:

In total, you can get 200 Gems and 2 Invite Letters by maxing out the Affinity of a Hero. Given that the game has a ton of Heroes, that means you can get a ton of free Gems and Invite Letters by simply playing the game. Now let’s see how you increase this Affinity.

How to Increase Affinity

Affinity can be increased in two ways:

• Using Heroes
• Giving Heroes gifts

By using Heroes and interacting with them in the Resonating Hall by clicking on them, you can get a total of 50 Affinity per day, and that is capped for every Hero. Given that the affinity cap is 4500, you will need a total of 90 days to max out a Hero if you reach their maximum affinity cap of 50.

However, that is too tedious to do, which is where gifting comes into play. If you’ve run around the open world in AFK Journey, you have stumbled upon plants and other gatherables; those are gifts that you can give Heroes to increase their Affinity.

Similar to other games, there are different gifts, and each gives a different amount of Affinity. 

Certain Heroes also prefer certain gifts, and if you give those gifts, you will get even more Affinity. Giving gifts is an easy way to increase a Hero’s Affinity, but they are also finite.

How to Get Gifts

You can get gifts by roaming the open world and gathering plants and other collectibles as you go. Another way to get gifts is by buying them from the Emporium. To buy gifts from the Emporium, use the following steps:

1. Go to [Mystical House]
2. Open [Emporium]
3. Open [Friendship Store]

In the Daily section of the Friendship Store, you will see a total of 3 gifts that are cycled each day, with one of them being discounted. Here, you can easily buy a lot of gifts for your Heroes to level up their Affinity.
