The upcoming season for AFK Journey has been announced, and its name is Chains of Eternity. This season will feature a winter theme, the complete opposite of the desert-themed first season and the pirate-themed second season. The Chains of Eternity will be the third iteration of the season system for AFK Journey, and it looks to offer a ton of new content for players to try out.

Season Release Date
The Cains of Eternity season will become available next year on January 17th, 2025. This is close to a month away, giving you more than enough time to finish up what you have left of this season and get ready to dive into the winter wonderland.

New Areas
The new season will feature a new story for players to explore, allowing them to venture into enigmatic regions to unveil secrets that have been hidden for millennia. One of those new areas is known as the [Duchy of Whiteridge], and it is a place similar to Holistone, but also completely different, in that it offers a winter-themed land.
Another new area is the [Snowveil Hills]. This is an area home to a giant ice castle, surrounded by layers upon layers of ice and a snowstorm guarding its entrance. However, that is not all this area has to offer. In addition to the icy landscape seen near the castle, this area also features bountiful meadows filled with all kinds of flowers and life. Truly a place worth exploring.
New Heroes
This season will naturally expand the game’s roster by offering various new heroes for players to try out. The Chains of Eternity trailer revealed three new heroes that players will be able to pull for throughout the season’s duration. Those heroes are:
- Valka (A-Level / Graveborn / Warrior)
- Lorsan (S-Level / Wilder / Support)
- Elijah & Lailah (S-Level / Celestial / Support)
He’s finally here, everyone! Lorsan is finally making an appearance, after more than half a year's worth of wait. He’s been one of the most anticipated heroes ever since his first appearance in the story back in AFK Journey’s release and has been appearing here and there, making players wonder when we’ll finally be able to get him. Well, we won’t have to wait much longer, as he has finally been announced, and it is not going to be long until we get him!

New Events
We can’t have a new season announcement without new events, now can we? The first event that the developers have announced is known as the [Snowspire Gift], and it is a 7-Day Login event that will give a total of 18 Epic Invite Letters and give players the chance to choose from one of the following 4 Epic Heroes:
- Lily May
- Ludovic
- Vala
- Alsa
New Artifacts
We also cannot forget our beloved artifacts. Ever since the release of the AFK Journey, artifacts have been a huge part of the game, and they have become even more important as seasons were announced. The Chains of Eternity will also be no stranger to artifacts, as the developers have announced that this season will bring a total of 12 new game-changing artifacts for players to collect and try out.
New Primal Lords
In addition to the new features of this season, players will also get the chance to fight against two new Primal Lords known as the Mirage Frostspike and Nocturne Judicator. These are expected to become available throughout the season, so keep an eye out for them!
