AFK Journey: Version 1.1.17 Major Adjustments and Season Optimizations

The developers behind AFK Journey have just released a [Talk with Designers] piece in which they discussed the upcoming major adjustments coming to the game’s Version 1.1.17, such as updating the All Heroes event and some Season Optimizations.

Version 1.1.17 Major Adjustments

The developers behind AFK Journey have been working hard on making the game accessible for everyone and are going to be releasing AFK Journey in new countries and regions on August 8, 2024. Alongside this, the developers have shared information about major adjustments coming to the game with the new version.

You can find a summary of the adjustments below:

1. Update the All Heroes list to include all heroes released before August 8.
2. Narrowing the gap between server ranking rewards in Dream Realm.
3. Temporal Shards will be added to the daily ranking rewards below a server's top 100
4. Temporal Shards will be used to craft Temporal Essence
5. Addition of New Daily Quests, such as "recruit 1 time,"  for extra Diamond rewards
6. Updating some features of the Starter Story (more details TBA).

Season Optimizations

Alongside the major adjustments, the developers have also shared some season optimizations that they will be implementing in their new Season starting this September 2024. Below you can see a summary of the optimizations the developers behind AFK Journey shared with the community.

1. New items that let you swap the tier and Exclusive Equipment progress between two heroes of the same quality (A-Level or S-Level). These items will be obtainable through in-game events.
2. Seasonal content will become available once players reach Resonance Level 240 and complete the Ryeham Tales. It won't be necessary to clear all main quests and AFK stages.
3. Re-balance the XP and Essence rewards from AFK Stages in the early season.
4. Starting the new season, players will enter the season at Resonance Level 240 and start leveling up their Season Resonance Level from 240.
