All Canon Couples in LoL

League of Legends is a game with rich lore. Naturally, it's common for every story to include a bit of love, and LoL certainly delivers! All champions are connected in various ways, and some even form romances. In this article, we will take a look at the list of all canon couples (and some popular speculations) in LoL, confirmed by Riot.

Xayah & Rakan

Xayah and Rakan were released together, at the same time. She's a fierce rebel who fights to protect her people, the Vastaya, from oppression. Rakan, who's deeply in love with her, joins her in this pursuit. Their skills complement each other and they work best when they're together.

Ashe & Tryndamere

Love, duty, and strength - that's what Ashe and Trynda are all about. They're the first couple in League of Legends, being the king and queen of the Freljord.

Senna & Lucian

LoL players knew a lot about Senna before she was released. We were aware she's Lucian's wife, who's imprisoned by Thresh. Lucian never gave up, until he set her free. Now the duo is back together, fighting evil alongside each other.

Vi & Caitlyn

This ship is currently famous because of Arcane, although the two women are still in the early stages of their relationship. They're not 'official girlfriends' but Riot certainly has a soft spot for the crime-fighting duo and they've alluded to their relationship many times.

Illaoi & Gankplank

Illaoi and Gankplank are no longer together but they used to have a special relationship. However, she chose her faith in Nagakaboros over Gangplank. 'The Burden' goes into detail about Illaoi's feelings.

Leona & Diana

Leona and Diana represent opposing forces. Leona is the radiant light of the sun and Diana embraces the power of the moon. Despite their differences, they share a connection as chosen champions, working together to protect Targon. Their relationship is marked by conflict and reconciliation, a battle between light and darkness.

Ezreal & Lux

Ezreal and Lux aren't really together. All we know so far is that Ez has a huge crush on her. However, this ship has been around for a while and there's no way we would not add it to the list.

Garen & Katarina

Garen and Katarina share a complicated dynamic with mutual respect and admiration for each other's combat powers. The tension is due to their opposing allegiances and the knowledge that they are meant to be enemies. Despite this, there are moments where glimpses of attraction shine through, hinting at a deeper connection between the two champions.

Of course, there are many characters who have unrequited crushes on each other. Lux was into Sylas but he used and betrayed her. Zoe really likes Ezreal but he's focused on Lux instead. He also seems to have a crush on Xayah who's already taken by Rakan. Vex is crazy about Diego.
