Revenant Reborn

Revenant Reborn: A massive character-changing rework awaits Revenant in Season 18, completely changing abilities and appearance. This essentially introduces the new Legend for Season 18.

Revenant will undergo a complete transformation, including new abilities. Specific details about these abilities are yet to be revealed, but we'll update this section as soon as they are released.

During the entirety of Season 18, Revenant will be available for all players for free. Completing a set of challenges within the season will permanently unlock the Legend.

Changes include:

  • Decreasing overall LP gains per match to address the shift in the rank distribution.
  • Implementing a ruleset applicable only to Diamond+ players, making the top of the ladder more finely tuned.
  • Players in these ranked tiers will face increased stakes and losses, and decreased rating bonuses and loss mitigations, making it a high-risk endeavor.
  • Adding a minimum elimination bonus increase based on the player’s MMR and buffing elimination bonus in general to give more importance to eliminations in ranking.
  • Adjusting ring damage to increase action within the ring.
  • Tweaking ring timings to encourage more mid-game encounters and reduce pre-finale lulls.
  • Enhancing matchmaking to better handle players actively challenging their MMR, leading to more competitively challenging matches reflecting their ranking.
