The year started off really strong with the release of the highly awaited sequel for Vinland Saga. The Second season of the anime followed the story of Thorfin, showing him grow as a man and as a person, giving him an amazing growth as a character, which strongly resonated with the anime community. If you still haven’t watched it, then Vinland Saga is a series that you shouldn’t miss out on!

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village Arc

Following Vinland Saga Season 2’s release in the beginning of 2023, we have the newest and eagerly awaited continuation of the Demon Slayer story. The Swordsmith Village Arc followed Tanjiro and he went on to try and get a new katana forged for himself. In the process he met with some old companions and faced one of the Upper Demons, resulting in yet another season of intense action and heartbreaking moments. Definitely not a season to miss if you are a fan of the series.

Oshi no Ko

At the same time as Demon Slayer, we had yet another banger of anime that seemingly came out of nowhere, and that is Oshi no Ko. With a captivating plot and well-developed characters, this anime explores the challenges faced by aspiring idols and the ruthless competition that defines their journey to stardom.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2

Jujutsu Kaisen strikes once more with its newest season. Following the major success of Demon Slayer and Oshi no Ko, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 was the most anticipated anime of the summer season. And it didn’t fail to deliver. Although there was a lot of controversy surrounding MAPPA, its animators and the anime, the anime is still going strong, dishing out amazing episodes week after week. Although the second season of Jujutsu Kaisen definitely took a way darker turn that the first, it is definitely a must watch for fans of the series.

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2

Another anime that came out alongside Jujutsu Kaisen in the Summer 2023 season is Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2. The anime continues to follow the story of Rudeus as he is on a search of finding his mother, and curing himself from his, uh, ‘illness’. Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 doesn’t offer as much action as the first 24 episodes of the series, but delivers on matters of connection between characters and their growth. With its end, fans of the series are eagerly awaiting the new season in April of 2024.

Frieren: Beyond Journey's End (Sousou no Frieren)

Sousou no Frieren, the anime that took the anime world by storm and made its way up to the top stop of the Anime ranking on MyAnimeList, bringing down the giant: Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Sousou no Frieren follows the story of the elf mage Frieren who travels the world in order to meet her former comrades as well as reminisce about the places they’ve been  and learn more about magic. Sousou no Frieren really did come out of nowhere and shook the entire community. The anime is still on-going and is set to end some time in March 2024.

Spy x Family Season 2
