And it didn’t fail to deliver. Although there was a lot of controversy surrounding MAPPA, its animators and the anime, the anime is still going strong, dishing out amazing episodes week after week. Although the second season of Jujutsu Kaisen definitely took a way darker turn that the first, it is definitely a must watch for fans of the series.

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2
Another anime that came out alongside Jujutsu Kaisen in the Summer 2023 season is Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2. The anime continues to follow the story of Rudeus as he is on a search of finding his mother, and curing himself from his, uh, ‘illness’. Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 doesn’t offer as much action as the first 24 episodes of the series, but delivers on matters of connection between characters and their growth. Frieren: Beyond Journey's End (Sousou no Frieren)
Sousou no Frieren, the anime that took the anime world by storm and made its way up to the top stop of the Anime ranking on MyAnimeList, bringing down the giant: Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Sousou no Frieren follows the story of the elf mage Frieren who travels the world in order to meet her former comrades as well as reminisce about the places they’ve been and learn more about magic. Sousou no Frieren really did come out of nowhere and shook the entire community. The anime is still on-going and is set to end some time in March 2024.
