Black Myth: Wukong - All Secrets and Easter Eggs in Chapter 1

Black Myth Wukong is a huge game that stands out with its exploration and challenging boss fights. While you're taking up adventures in the game's open world, you might run into some hidden details. In this article, we will take a look at all of the secrets and Easter eggs in Chapter 1 of Black Myth Wukong.

Ancient Guanyin Temple Secret Location

In order to uncover one of the biggest secrets in Black Myth Wukong Chapter 1, you'll have to ring 3 bells. You don't need to follow a particular order, but we suggest you follow the one below. Here's how to do it:

• While you're in Chapter 1, eventually you'll have to face off against the Guangzhi boss, who's located outside of the Forest Shrine. It's a tough early-on enemy, but you can defeat him by dodging his dash attack. Guangzhi will also drop the transformation spell called Red Tide. Once you're done with Guangzhi, don't leave the arena! You will find a bell in this arena—ring it. You'll need to ring 2 more bells in order to unlock the first secret.

• After defeating Guangzhi, you'll have to take down the Wandering Wight on the right side of the region. The Wandering Wight is a tanky Black Myth Wukong boss.

• Progress into the Bamboo Grove and Snake Trail regions, the main path will lead you to a boss fight with Guangmou. It's easy to defeat them, and you'll be able to ring the second bell, found up a flight of stairs in the back of the arena. One left!

• Find the Whiteclad Noble and defeat him but don't leave the area. Instead, explore the left side of the arena and locate the small grotto, where the third and final bell is hidden. Ringing this bell unlocks a cinematic, transporting the player to the Ancient Guanyin Temple.

Elder Jinchi Secret Boss

You don't think the secret area is all there is to uncover, right? Black Myth Wukong is filled with secret bosses, and you'll discover one in the Ancient Guanyin Temple. You'll have to defeat Elder Jinchi, a boss similar to the Wandering Wight but far more aggressive, with additional NPCs. The best strategy is to defeat his followers first.

Fireproof Mantle

If you manage to defeat the Elder Jinchi, you'll get the Fireproof Mantle—an incredibly rare and powerful secret item in Black Myth Wukong. It gives players passive burn resistance and active immunity to scorch damage, which will be a huge help in the rest of the game.
