Black Myth Wukong - How To Defeat Monk From The Sea

If you've already progressed past the Pagoda Realm and the Valley of Ecstasy, Black Myth Wukong will take you on another adventure through The New West, a dangerous area in Chapter 3.

Once you reach the New Thunderclap Temple, you'll face the Monk from the Sea, who will try to use his tentacles to freeze you and kill you. In this guide, we'll show you how to defeat Monk from the Sea in Black Myth Wukong and get his reward.

Black Myth Wukong How To Find Monk From The Sea

Start from the Longevity Road Keeper's Shrine in the Valley of Ecstasy and walk forward towards the statues. Once you get there, turn right and follow the path. You'll soon see the Temple Entrance, where Captain Kalpa-Wave will be waiting for you. Defeat him and go inside.

From the Temple Entrance Keeper's Shrine, turn right and keep following the path. Go left up the slope when you see the enemy carrying a rock. Reach the end, go up the stairs on the right side, and head left when you see the gate. Approach the stone slab on the left, and the Monk From the Sea will appear in front of you, starting the fight.

The Monk from the Sea will begin by attacking you with a three-hit combo. He uses his tentacles to strike and cause his opponents to freeze. Another move you can expect is him flapping his tentacles from side to side, dealing insane amounts of damage. Don't go too close to him, or he'll knock you back.

When you see that he's about to stand on his tentacles, go further away before he slams the ground. If you're frozen, press the dodge button. We recommend using the Frostsprout Twig to increase your Chill Resistance. Defeating Monk from the Sea will give you the Hoarfrost Transformation.
