Black Myth Wukong has some mandatory items that you need to collect if you want to unlock certain bosses, and one of them is the Sterness of Stone.

This is a Key Item that you can obtain in the Yellow Wind Ridge area, and you need it to progress toward the final boss called Yellow Wind Sage. This guide will tell you how to get the Sterness of Stone in Black Myth Wukong.

The Sterness of Stone is located at the Fright Cliff, Rockrest Flat Keeper's Shrine. Simply turn left, and you'll see a small arena where you'll have to defeat the Stone Vanguard. Once you've done that, the boss will drop the Sterness of Stone.

Since this is a mandatory battle, there's no chance that you'll miss it. If you don't know how to access the Rockrest Flat Keeper's Shrine, just go back to the Valley of Despair in Sandgate Village and use the wooden rope bridge on the side of the arena. Cross it and follow the trail.

Black Myth Wukong How To Defeat The Stone Vanguard

The Stone Vanguard is huge, but don't let his appearance scare you; his movements are slow, and his attacks are easy to predict and avoid. When you see that he needs time to recharge, use your attacks to deal damage.

However, be careful with his area attack since it knocks you back. He raises his arms and slams the ground. When you notice that he's about to do that, run away as far as you can to avoid getting crushed and heavily damaged.

The Sterness of Stone is used on the Tallies in Chapter 2, Yellow Wind Ridge. Once you have it, you'll be able to access the path below the Crouching Tiger Temple and open the doors at Sandgate Village, Valley of Despair and Yellow Sand Formation, Windrest Gate Shrines.
