Mike Ybarra, head of Blizzard, has confirmed that the team is working on resolving a bug in Diablo 4 that has been preventing some players from advancing and collecting rewards in the new season. The bug is expected to be fixed by August 15th.

Ybarra received feedback on Twitter from a player who couldn't progress due to the bug. The issue causes players to get stuck at the Slayer level as the game fails to recognize their completion of the A Boon in the Tide quest, preventing them from opening the Tortured Gift Helltide chest.

Many players have reported the issue on the game's official forums, prompting Ybarra to address the problem directly and assure players that it will be fixed in a few days, possibly by August 15th.

While the fix may not come as quickly as some players hoped, Blizzard is taking the matter seriously and banning players who attempt to use any seasonal exploit.

In the upcoming patch 1.1.1, scheduled for next week, Blizzard aims to improve the effectiveness and fun of Sorcerers and Barbarians in the game. The changes are intended to enhance late-game survivability for Sorcerers and increase the flow of combat for Barbarians by boosting Fury generation and the power of Unique items in the late game.
