World of Warcraft's Season of Discovery has proven to be a massive success, attracting eager players globally to explore the exciting additions such as brand-new runes, a new level cap, and the challenging Blackfathom Deeps raid. However, Blizzard may have underestimated the popularity of their innovative take on the Classic WoW formula. The launch of the season has been plagued by server issues and extensive login queues.
Due to these challenges, Blizzard has taken the proactive step of temporarily locking three realms—Crusader Strike for North America and Living Flame/Lone Wolf for Europe. This aims to prevent the creation of new characters on these realms and guide players towards other realms to alleviate the strain on servers. Here is what Blizzard had to say on the matter:

Blizzard on locking the Crusader Strike realm in North America:
As a temporary measure to prevent further service issues, we’ve locked the Crusader Strike realm to new players. Players who have already established their character on this realm should see no change to their ability to access the realm.
Crusader Strike is now labeled as “Locked” on the realm selection screen, and new players who wish to enjoy RP-PvP should select the Chaos Bolt realm.
Thank you!

Currently, we have no idea how long these realms are going to stay locked to new players, it could be hours, days or weeks. If you are a new player we recommend that you try one of the suggested realms by Blizzard, so you can have a smooth experience with no server issues.
