Blizzard Secretly Working on a New RPG FPS Game? Here's What We Know

A recent update to OW2's Product Manager job description on LinkedIn has led fans to believe he may have accidentally revealed an unannounced project. The mysterious RPG FPS game quickly became a topic of discussion, sparking many questions. Check out fans' speculations and arguments that seem to confirm the existence of this unknown game. 

A user named Timur222 pointed out a change in Chris McCabe's LinkedIn bio. In his listed work experience, McCabe had originally included a project titled “Unannounced AAA RPG-FPS Title (PC/Console).” The project name has since been changed to “Unannounced AAA Title.” This change was likely not a coincidence, as the director seems to have quickly corrected his mistake after fans noticed it.

The fact that Overwatch's Senior Director of Product Management was involved in this RPG-FPS project has led fans to speculate that Overwatch's PvE game might still be in development, despite its previous cancellation.

Others believe this could be related to a new StarCraft title. Although Microsoft laid off about 1,900 employees and canceled the widely rumored Blizzard survival game after acquiring Activision Blizzard, it would make sense for them to pursue a new console game. Additionally, this could be a chance to revive the previously canceled StarCraft game.

We don’t know any specifics about the game's content or whether it will be related to Overwatch, World of Warcraft, Diablo, or if it’s a completely new title. Nonetheless, given that it's a hybrid game planned for both PC and consoles, it would be a significant project. Even though the title has been renamed, its existence is confirmed, and all we can do now is wait for further updates from Blizzard.
