All Call of Duty 40k Crossover Space Marine Skin Leaks

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is set to release in 2024, however, before that, Warhammer 40k is due to invade the universe of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. You read that right. The gameplay depth of this crossover remains to be seen, but it will at least feature the iconic armor of the 40k Space Marines as operator skins.

What is Warhammer 40k?

Warhammer 40,000 is a tabletop miniature war game with a universe of heroes, villains, everything in between, and grimdark lore spanning hundreds of novels and dozens of video games. 

Set in the gore-ridden future of the 41st millennium, the humans of the 40k universe face annihilation on all fronts of their galaxy-spanning empire, the Imperium, be it from hostile alien races, rogue elements of their own empire, or even the dark gods of the twisted realm known as 'the warp.'

To suit up against the perils of a horror-infested universe, the elite Space Marine chapters of the Imperium don outrageously powerful armor (with a purpose to intimidate and inspire as much as to protect the wearer).

Now, these skins, as awesome as they are, might not even be skins at all. Worn by CoD's cast of operators, the massive armored suits do a lot of visual clipping, and one operator even appears to be smoking a cigarette through his helmet which is not quite ideal.

But if they're not skins, then what's the deal?

Warhammer 40k and CoD Crossover?

The most likely way these Space Marine skins will be introduced into CoD is as a fresh take on Juggernaut suits. In fact, there's an upcoming game mode called 'Juggermosh' in which players battle it out in a third-person lobby using exclusively Juggernaut suits. The massive frames of Space Marine armor would lend themselves well to such a crossover.

Warhammer 40k and CoD Crossover Release Date?

If our speculation regarding the Juggermosh game mode is correct, then we might infer the 40k crossover event to be linked directly with that of Juggermosh. Sadly, an exact release date for Juggermosh is as yet unknown.

Alternatively, it's possible that this CoD-40k crossover event might closely align with the release date of the highly-anticipated Warhammer 40,000: Spare Marine 2. That would, however, mean a fairly long wait, with Space Marine 2 due to release on September 9, 2024.
