Following the Season 5 launch of Call of Duty: Warzone, a new update to the game's UI has left players frustrated once again. Some fans have compared the layout to streaming service menus, and they are calling on Activision and Infinity Ward to address the confusion and improve the appeal for longtime Call of Duty enthusiasts.

On August 2, Activision and Infinity Ward introduced Warzone Season 5, featuring a wealth of new content, including battle royale and DMZ features, additional vehicles, and updates to the general playlist. Throughout the season, players can expect more content and a Call of Duty 2023 reveal event, offering an opportunity to team up with Shadow Company, thwart Konni troops, and secure a dangerous chemical weapon. Moreover, a recent tease from Activision confirms that the Call of Duty 2023 reveal event is just around the corner, providing eager fans with more information soon.

A screenshot shared by Call of Duty fan TSM-HabZ displays the new Warzone UI, which has garnered frustration from players due to its menus and overall aesthetic. Many players feel that the updated UI resembles streaming service menus like Netflix and Hulu, while others believe it seems designed to encourage microtransactions, akin to mobile games. Although popular modes like DMZ and Resurgence remain accessible, players are dissatisfied with the current layout, especially regarding the lack of lobby features.

Some players, like AyKayAllDay47, argue that the new UI may benefit those who primarily play a few specific modes. For instance, players can swiftly select Resurgence since it's conveniently located next to the Featured and DMZ modes in the main menu.

The Warzone UI has been a contentious issue among Call of Duty fans for some time, and additional criticism may arise if updates make the experience worse for a significant portion of the player community. Infinity Ward should consider listening to player feedback and be open to making adjustments and improvements accordingly.

At least, Infinity Ward remains committed to delivering ample new content for Season 5, including new operators, weapons, and events. Furthermore, players can anticipate a major "Reloaded" update for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone Season 5, potentially bringing more UI adjustments and fixes by the end of August 2023.
