CookieRun Kingdom: June 28th Update New Features and More

Given all of the drama that happened around Dark Cacao Cookie and the new Anciet+ rarity, CookieRun: Kingdom had to delay their newest update, which was scheduled for June 19th. Luckily, we finally have a date for the new update, and it’s June 28th.

In this article, we’ll go over everything new that you can expect in this reworked update, so get comfortable and enjoy.

Update Date

This update was originally planned to be released on June 19th, but due to the unforeseen backlash towards the new Ancient+ rarity, which you can find out more about HERE, the update was postponed.

Thankfully, Devsisters were quick to address the feedback from players and make the necessary changes in a timely manner. As of writing, the new update date is set for June 28th, so you can expect all of the new content this Friday.

Now let’s see what this new content is all about.

Awakening System

The [Awakening System] is a new system that will allow players to awaken Dark Cacao Cookie and grant him new abilities to make him stronger. This system was the decision that Devsisters reached after the major backlash from the Ancient+ rarity.

The developers have stated that this Awakening System will not require any additional requirements from players, apart from having Dark Cacao Cookie, and will allow anyone to awaken Dark Caco Cookie as long as they have the needed Soulprisms.

To awaken Dark Cacao Cookie, you will need the new Dark Cacao Cookie Soulprisms, which you will be able to obtain through various events, obtained from the gacha, or purchased in the Rainbow Shell Gallery. The developers have also stated that in future updates, these Soulprisms will also become available in the Arena Tier Shop, Season Rewards, etc.

After you have enough Soulprisms, you will be able to awaken Dark Cacao Cookie and then continue awakening him, as the Awakening System comes with 6 Awakening Levels, with each level requiring more and more Soulprisms.

All in all, the awakening system aims to make Ancient Cookies viable again, and as of right now, it seems like a good compromise to the Ancient+ rarity. We are eager to see how this new system will be taken by the community and if it will shake the game’s meta or not.

Beascuit Improvements

Ever since their release, Beascuits have been a painful topic for the community, as they are seen as quite predatory and poorly balanced. The topic of the Beascuits was brought up alongside the Ancient+ rarity update, and the developers behind CookieRun: Kingdom have decided to take the opportunity and rework the Beascuit system.

Below, you can see all the changes that we can expect from Beascuits in the June 28th update:

• Increased chance of obtaining Legendary Beascuits
• Cheaper Attunement
• Cheaper Resets
• More sources of Radiant Beascuit Dough
• Higher Legendary Beascuit & Episode-specific Beascuit appearance rates
• Increased amounts of Radiant Beascuit Dough obtainable through breaking
• down Legendary Beascuits
• Shorter Juicy Stamina Jelly cooldown (x1 per 900s > 1x per 720s)

Additionally, the rates for Attunement and Resets have also had their values changed and now look like this.

These are all great changes, and we can’t wait to see how they will impact the game and the community’s view of Beascuits.

Package Improvements

Due to the changes to Beascuits, the developers have stated that some paid packages will need to be reworked. This mainly includes packages focused on selling [Radiant Beascuit Dough], but it is not limited to them, so keep your eyes open for more information.

Additionally, to compensate for this change, the developers state that they will have new events and mail rewards to get those materials in future updates.

Update Reward

It wouldn’t be a new update without an update reward, would it?

Given the major waves that this update has caused, the developers are doing their best to keep the players happy, and that can be seen through the various changes they have made in this short span of time as well as the generosity that they are showing.

The update reward for the June 28th update is as follows:

• Dark Cacao Cookie x1
• Light of True Resolution x2,000, Rainbow Cubes x1,500, Crystals x3,000 (delivered to your in-game mailbox)
  
  • For those who have already upgraded Dark Cacao Cookie until ★5A will receive Light of True Resolution x3,000.
  • The compensation reward can be claimed after the June 28th update maintenance until July 16th, 23:59 (GMT+9).

In addition to this, the developers will be launching a Login Event that will last for 10 days and will give a ton of prizes.
