CookieRun Tower of Adventures: Beginner Tips and Tricks

CookieRun: Tower of Adventures has just launched, and a ton of players are joining the new game by Devsisters to try out all the cookies in a new 3D action format.

The game is without a doubt a blast to play, but as with any other gacha or progression game, there are a lot of things that beginners need to be careful of when starting the game.

In this guide, we’ll go over some beginner tips and tricks you can use to boost your progression in CookieRun: ToA.

Heart Jellies

CookieRun: Tower of Adventures is an action game that has you completing various stages that consume stamina, or Heart Jellies, as they are known in this game.

Depending on your Train Level you will have a set amount of Heart Jellies. You start off with 100, and each time you start a stage, you consume a number of them.

When you’ve consumed Heart Jellies they begin regenerating at a rate of 1 Heart Jelly per 6 minutes. But they don’t recharge if you’re at your current cap.

If you have 100/100 Heart Jellies, then you won’t be regenerating any Heart Jellies, thus slowing down your progress.

The first tip we have is to always try and stay below your Heart Jelly cap.

NOTE: EXP stages are a good way to quickly drain your Heart Jellies so that they can begin recharging.

Cookie Leveling

When you first start, you’ll likely get a ton of Cookies and won’t know what to do with them. You might be tempted to start leveling all of them slightly, but this way you will only be wasting resources in the long run and will be limiting your progress early on.

What we suggest is that you pick three Cookies you like and invest all of your resources into them. These three Cookies would ideally be

• 1x Main DPS
• 1x Support
• 1x Tagger

By having one of each, you will make a balanced team that will help you clear any content in the game, and when you get to the endgame, you will have more resources to begin investing in other Cookies.

Joining a Guild

As with any game of this kind, joining a Guild is one of the most important steps early in the game. 

In CookieRun: Tower of Adventures, you unlock the Guild function quite early on, and it is advisable that you join a guild as soon as possible, as you will be able to get a free reward each day, and you can get up to 50 Heart Jellies just by being in a Guild, which will speed up your progression.

Raid Mode

CookieRun: Tower of Adventures has a mode called Raid Mode where you match with three other people online to take down a strong boss enemy. Once you take down the boss, you will receive a chest containing gear to make your Cookies stronger.

You have 5 daily chances to participate in the Raid Mode, and you should try and consume all of those chances each day, as these chances do not carry over, and by not using them, you will be missing out on a lot of gear that can help make your Cookies stronger.

So make sure to do your Raid Mode battles each day.

Fully Complete Story

When playing through the story, you will notice that each stage has different goals that you must achieve. By achieving these goals, you earn stars, and by getting a lot of starts, you can get up to 20 Basic Cookie Tickets per Story Chapter.

Additionally, if you go around the stages, you can also find Chests and [Bear Jellies], which you can later exchange in the [Bear Jelly Exchange] to get even more free gacha pulls and tons of materials to boost your progression.

As such, it is preferable that you clear each stage fully so that you can get the most rewards.
