While Counter-Strike 2 is prime for a shake-up to Active Duty, FMPONE has not given any hint as to when exactly Cache will return, and with a Major coming up soon, Cache will probably not be playable for several more months.
But after being gone since 2019, its highly anticipated comeback could arrive sometime later in 2024. We expect that we will see a Cacha remake in Q3 or Q4 of 2024.

On February 17th, FMPONE shared two images previewing the new look of Cache's middle area.
- Gone are the old grey and overgrown textures, replaced with a bright, clean aesthetic utilizing Source 2's capabilities.
- FMPONE has yet to reveal any other sections of the map, but the CT-side mid-window has noticeably been changed to a small opening at the top of the wall.
- Additionally, there are three new statues near the middle vent, which contribute to the map's authentic Russian atmosphere.

Besides the redesign of mid, FMPONE has not disclosed what other alterations are coming to Cache for CS2.
