Counter-Strike 2 February 7 Full Patch Notes: Sticker & Smoke Fixes
Valve

Since the release of Counter-Strike 2 a few months back, there haven't been many major updates to the game apart from general bug fixes and small adjustments. A few days ago, Valve released a somewhat substantial update to the game, which included a way to customize the stickers on your weapons, allowing you to move them around and get a lot more creative.

While this has certainly created a ton of memes in the short amount of time since its release, the patch did also introduce a few bugs and issues to the game. With the aim to fix them, Valve has released yet another hotfix for Counter-Strike 2, which also includes some adjustments to smokes, the Vertigo map, and some knife animations. Here is the full list of changes for this update.

Counter-Strike 2 February 7th Full Patch Notes

This new update aims to fix many of the issues that were introduced with Counter-Strike 2's previous patch. While the new sticker customization options are a neat addition to the game, AMD graphics users were not able to use the feature, which has now been fixed. Fixes to smokes, knife animations, and the annoying Overload XP icon that was appearing in the kill feed have also been addressed. Here is the full list of patch notes for the February 7th update of Counter-Strike 2:

Stickers

  • Fixed a bug where AMD graphics users couldn't move stickers
  • Stickers with custom offsets will now render properly when inspecting other items in-game from Steam Community Market and Steam Inventory

Smoke

  • Various bug fixes and tweaks

Sound

  • Fixed a performance bug with certain microphone setups

Networking

  • cl_interp can no longer be changed directly. Some players had scripts that were setting this to a large value, leading to very bad rubber-banding. The interpolation amount can be adjusted through the "Buffering to smooth over packet loss" setting instead

Animation

  • Fixed a bug with the Kukri knife inspect animation
  • Fixed a bug where a player holding an incendiary grenade would sometimes show fire effects at their feet

UI

  • Removed XP Overload icon from the kill feed
  • The swap weapon prompt will now show the weapon/finish name rather than the custom name
  • Fixed a bug with switching background maps while inspecting gloves

Maps

  • Vertigo: Fixed a gap in world geometry at Crane

Misc

  • Fixed a bug with keyboard input from non-English keyboard layouts
  • Various crash fixes

That covers the full list of changes that are coming with the February 7th patch for Counter-Strike 2. Hopefully, this update fixes all of the new bugs that were introduced, with AMD users being able to finally play around with the new sticker customization feature.
