CS2 has finally been launched, but it's lacking several fantastic features that Global Offensive had. There's no guarantee these features will return, but some are more likely than others. Here's a list of the top missing elements, in no particular order:
-
Demo Review: Currently, there's no way to watch your matches back in the CS2 client, which is a core aspect of CS gameplay.
-
Weapon Sway Control (cl_bob): CS2 lacks the cl_bob command, preventing players from controlling weapon sway when moving. Many experienced CS players are used to stopping gun sway while on the move, and this option is currently absent.
-
Left-Hand View Model: Many players prefer having their gun on the left side of their view, but CS2 doesn't offer this option currently. Hopefully, it will be reintroduced.
-
Net_graph 1 Command: One of Global Offensive's popular features was the ability to view your FPS in real time using the net_graph 1 command. This feature is currently missing.
-
128 Tick Servers: Players miss the superior feel of 128 tick servers, as CS2 currently employs a subtick system. Hopefully, server improvements are on the horizon.
It remains to be seen if these features will make a comeback in CS2.
