The latest update to Cyberpunk 2077 has sparked a wave of discussion on Reddit, with many users expressing their positive experiences. One user, who goes by the name of Blitzqeri, shared their experience after picking up the game on sale. They were initially drawn to the game for its cyberpunk aesthetic and were pleasantly surprised by the gameplay and story. They particularly enjoyed the variety of fighting types and weapons, as well as the quick hacking feature, which they likened to magic in a cyberpunk setting.

Another user, InertiaInMyPants, also had positive things to say about the game. They played it when it first came out and started a second run recently. They believe the game is worth more than its sale price and compared it to what they imagined GTA 6 would be like if it was set in the future.

However, not all users share these positive sentiments. Some users are still skeptical about the game’s improvements and are waiting for further updates before diving back in. Another user suggested waiting for the base game to be completely reworked.

The recent player numbers for Cyberpunk 2077 on Steam have shown a significant increase. According to Steam Charts, the game has around 150,000 concurrent players on Steam this weekend. This is a considerable rise from the average of 17,000 players in the last 30 days.

Despite these ups and downs, the recent surge in player count is a positive sign for the game. It’s worth noting that the all-time peak for Cyberpunk 2077 was 830,387 players in December 2020. While the current numbers are still far from this peak, the increasing trend indicates a renewed interest in the game.

This resurgence can be attributed to several factors. The latest update has been well-received by players, leading to positive discussions on platforms like Reddit. Additionally, the game’s enduring appeal and unique cyberpunk aesthetic continue to attract new players.

In conclusion, while Cyberpunk 2077 has had its share of ups and downs since its launch, the recent increase in player numbers on Steam is a testament to its potential for growth and improvement. It will be interesting to see how these numbers evolve in the coming weeks and months with the relaese of the long-awaited DLC - Phantom Liberty.
