What is The Final Shape?
Destiny 2: The Final Shape is the final expansion of the Light and Dark Saga, the current Destiny era. It symbolizes the beginning of the end of the original Destiny plot and will consist of numerous episodes released over time. This will eventually culminate in a climactic clash between The Witness, the Destiny universe's main villain, and the Traveler's selected guardians.
This will also mark the debut of a new subclass: Prismatic. This allows players to combine the power of Light and Dark, as well as mix and match skills. Each Guardian class will also see one of their existing subclasses get a new Super ability, similar to Arc Hunters' Storm's Edge.
This expansion will include a full campaign, a new raid, a new strike, the return of numerous previously retired weapons, and the introduction of a new power system, which allows lower-level Guardians to be temporarily strengthened by playing alongside higher-level players. This will make high-tier activities more accessible to everyone.

Destiny 2: The Final Shape Roadmap
The seasonal update approach will be phased out as part of this expansion. Instead of four seasons, there will be three three-act episodes spread throughout the following year. Each will have new storylines, rare weapons, and objectives. The battle pass will be updated as part of this. Every new episode will feature a new 100-level pass, with the second and third acts each adding 50 more levels to achieve.
The major event of The Final Shape's launch will be a comprehensive campaign. However, the expansion will include much more than just the story.
Destiny players can look forward to the following at or near the start of The Final Shape:
- New Supers for Arc Hunters, Void Titans, and Solar Warlocks
- Prismatic, a new subclass that combines abilities from Light and Dark subclasses
- 21 Prismatic Fragments with unique perks and abilities to aid in combat
- The Pale Heart, a brand-new destination
- The Dread, an all-new enemy faction under the control of The Witness
- New Exotic Weapons
- Two Dungeons to debut during the year of The Final Shape
- Returning classic weapons, like Red Death, and Dragon’s Breath
- The end of Weapon sunsetting
- Salvation’s Edge, a brand new Raid
- A new Strike set inside The Traveler
- Exotic Class items, which combine the effects of multiple other Exotic Armors
- Timeline reflections, short playable missions to help catch up on the story of Destiny
- Fireteam power, allowing lower-level players to temporarily boost up while playing with higher-level Guardians

Destiny 2: Prismatic Subclass
Prismatic is the first new subclass since Strand was introduced in Lightfall. The goal of Prismatic is to allow Hunters, Warlocks, and Titans to combine skills from the Light and Dark specializations.
Prismatic Hunter
The Prismatic Hunter is evasive and agile, able to grapple across the battlefield and jump into advantageous positions with Ascension. Their starting Prismatic build allows for this kind of maneuverability, with Winter's Shroud offering a useful debuff that Stylish Executioner (which now triggers by defeating an enemy afflicted by any subclass debuff) can activate, providing easily accessible invisibility to reposition to wherever you need to be.
Prismatic Titan
The Prismatic Titan excels at disabling enemies, making them ideal targets for powerful follow-ups. Drengr's Lash, Shackle Grenade, and Diamond Lance are all effective primers for a Consecration, Thunderclap, or Unbreakable Blast. Their initial build allows them to freeze targets with Diamond Lance (which can be formed from any ability's final strike) and finish with fully charged Thunderclaps to eliminate the danger in one fell swoop.
Prismatic Warlock
The Prismatic Warlock unleashes an army in an instant, conjuring a horde of Bleak Watchers, Hellions, and Threadlings. Their initial build allows them to lock down whole rooms with Bleak Watcher and Penumbral Blast, and their ability damage (including damage from shattering frozen enemies) activates Feed the Void, granting grenade energy to restart the cycle.
