Diablo 4 players have expressed their concerns about the lack of ongoing content so far. While Blizzard has introduced Season 1 and outlined plans for Season 2, players' requests for weekly and weekend events have largely gone unaddressed.
The prolonged content drought of Season 1 hasn't given players much hope for the future. This has led to questions about why Blizzard labeled Diablo 4 as a live-service experience.
Thankfully, there seems to be a positive shift on the horizon, marked by an upcoming weekend event.
Diablo 4’s Weekend Event: More XP & Gold
In a post on Blizzard News, the Diablo 4 development team shared details about the upcoming Mother’s Blessing Weekend. During this event, players will enjoy a 25 percent increase in both Gold and XP rewards.
The event will take place from Friday, September 1 at 10:00 AM to Tuesday, September 5 at 10:00 AM PDT. The Mother’s Blessing bonus will be available across all World Tiers, as well as in the Seasonal and Eternal Realms.
Blizzard’s post explains further: “To find where this newfound bonus applies, keep an eye out for the new in-game icon beside your potion count, indicating the increased rate of earning Gold and XP.”
News about the Gold and XP bonus weekend comes shortly after Blizzard announced Diablo 4 Season 2: Season of Blood during Gamescom: Opening Night Live. The new season will start on October 17 and will introduce a Vampire Hunter companion and vampiric abilities for players.
