With Diablo 4's third season released just a couple of days ago, it's time for us to once again take a look at the different types of content players will be running in the endgame. With the addition of the new Vault dungeons, Arcane Tremor events, and updates to some of the boss fights, Diablo 4 has finally created a robust endgame gameplay loop for players to grind in the later stages of Season 3.
One of the returning antagonists from Season 1, Echo of Varshan, is going to be one of the main bosses you are going to be facing if you want to get some of the best gear in the game. As a boss that is required to summon Uber Duriel, let's take a look at where you can find the Echo of Varshan, as well as what kind of loot he drops when you defeat him.

Echo of Varshan Location & Summon Requirements
The Echo of Varshan boss fight can be found inside the Malignant Burrow. This dungeon is really easy to find as it is right next to the Tree of Whispers in the Writhing Mire zone in Hawezar. When you enter it, you will have to fight a small number of enemies before you finally reach the summoning altar.
In order to summon the Echo of Varshan, you will have to have one part of each of these resources:
- Gurgling Head
- Blackened Femur
- Trembling Hand
- Malignant Heart
These items can be found by opening the cache you receive from completing Grim Favors for the Tree of Whispers. The cache will contain one or two random items from the set. Another way of obtaining these body parts is by defeating Grotesque Debtors, which have a chance to spawn after completing Whispers of the Dead quests around the open world. These items can also be crafted at the Alchemist.

Echo of Varshan Loot Table & Rewards
The Echo of Varshan boss fight is one of the most important parts of the new boss ladder introduced in Season 2, as he drops the Mucus-Slick Egg, which is needed to summon Uber Duriel. He also has a ton of Unique items that can drop for the different classes in the game, with some providing build-defining effects.
