Dragon's Dogma II is set to release on March 22, 2024, as many fans are waiting to get their hands on this new installment by Capcom to the franchise. A beloved open-world action RPG that lends itself to a vibrant world and treacherous foes to defeat.
The players are anticipating an enhanced sequel to the first Dragon's Dogma that will not only bring new life to the genre, but also add even more polish and excitement to an already cult classic.
With that being said, we will review all of the classes and vocations we know of so far as the game is nearing its release so you can better prepare what character you would like to create and decide the journey you will venture on.

All Classes and Vocations in Dragon's Dogma 2
The game starts you with 4 basic choices to go through as you later level up and expand upon the skillset of your character to what fits your gameplay.
Fighter
Your standard sword-and-shield class which prioritizes defense over damage but as you advance further into the game you will gain access to some amazing tools and abilities to enhance your hand-to-hand combat prowess.
Mage
The beloved caster class that utilizes magick either offensively, defensively, or play a support role in a party. Distance is key as you will struggle against melee opponents, but the flexibility this class offers makes it rather enticing for players.
Thief
A purely damage-oriented class that lends itself to powerful melee damage, as well as single-target bursts. A nimble and cunning vocation that rewards aggressive and planned-out attacks while dodging incoming threats.
Archer
A ranged physical damage dealer that opts for a more rapid-fire approach to dealing damage. Similar to a Mage, you need to maintain your distance from enemies so you are granted some extra mobility to make up for the reduced damage.

Advanced Classes and Vocations in Dragon's Dogma 2
Dragon's Dogma II will also have so-called Advanced Vocations, namely the Warrior and Sorcer. They will be unlocked by completing a quest that will help you enhance the fighting style of either your Figher or Mage.
Warrior
This time around, you will be abandoning your shield for a more robust and sturdy armor and heavy greatsword or hammer. You will see a damage increase, but your tankiness will dwindle a bit.
Sorcerer
You will gain access to much more powerful spells, at the cost of sacrificing your cast time and defenses. Not only will you be able to deal massive area-of-effect damage, but you will also decide the outcome of battles.

Hybrid Classes and Vocations in Dragon's Dogma 2
So far, we know of 4 different Hybrid Vocations in Dragon's Dogma II. The Magick Archer, Mystic Spearhand, Trickster, and Warfarer are all interesting design choices that offer a lot of exciting gameplay.
Magick Archer
A blend between the Archer and Mage, you will utilize enchanted arrows that will hold magick qualities as you deal damage and offer utility to your party from a distance.
Trickster
You will create dastardly illusions in combat to lure enemies into their demise. A predominantly strategic vocation that will ensure the success of your party by utilizing your environment as much as possible.
Mystic Spearhand
A counterpart to the Magick Archer, you will instead use melee attacks whilst wielding strong magick powers to damage enemies from afar. You will also have access to powerful crowd-control spells.
Wayfarer
A jack-of-all-trades, you will gain the power to utilize three different types of weapons as it seems this vocation will be very versatile and unique, depending on your preferred playstyle.
