Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree Leaks!

Shadow of the Erdtree, first announced in February 2023, is the much-anticipated expansion to the acclaimed Elden Ring title. Without any further details regarding a release date from FromSoftware, speculation is rife as to what new direction Erdtree might take us. An anonymous leaker claiming to hail from an outsource studio in Singapore may have some answers.

As with all 4chan leaks, take the following information with a pinch of salt.

The Scale of Shadow of the Erdtree:

The expansion is purported to be enormous and is in fact alleged to be two separate expansions that FromSoftware decided to roll into a single massive content drop. Erdtree will supposedly see a shadowy duplicate of the entire game world, a shattered mimicry known as the Shadow Land.

Anonymous leaker: Shadow of Erdtree is a combination of what was originally going to be 2 expansions, but Fromsoftware decided instead to just do one giant one.

The Shadow Land:

Within the Shadow Land, zones are said to be fractured and twisted, and even 'semi cut off from each other,' putting a fresh twist on once familiar landscapes and level designs. The Erdtree is also purported to take on a new look in the Shadow Realm, and the sky will be darker.

Anonymous leaker: The entire game world is duplicated as a Shadow Realm, like a Dark World from [the] old 2D Zelda game. Shadow Limgrave for instance is Stormveil Castle ripped in half and you have to access it later.

An Unfamiliar World:

It is alleged that familiar foes may return. However, these foes may do so in vastly unfamiliar locations, and these location shifts may be impacted by New Game conditions. As if that wasn't enough, Shadow of the Erdtree may add as much additional content for Elden Ring as the entire Bloodborne game.

Anonymous leaker: This is Elden Ring Part 2 and the amount of content added is about equal to entire Bloodborne game added on.
