Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree New Patch, Release Date and More

With the long-awaited Elden Ring expansion, Shadow of the Erdree, now less than a week away, FromSoft revealed some upcoming updates for the base game. A server maintenance will be conducted to apply the update, which will be conducted on June 20 from 7am to 10am UTC. The official release date is set for 3 pm PDT/ 11 pm BST on Thursday, June 20 

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree New Inventory Features

FromSoft has decided to improve their itemization system even further with the new patch coming with Elden Ring: Shadow of Erdtree. The update will include changes to the inventory. Now, if you obtain a new item, it will be marked with a “!”.

Another inventory feature coming with Shadow of the Erdtree will be a new tab. This new tab will be called “Recent Items,” and it will let players check all of the items they’ve acquired recently.

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree New Summoning Pool Features

FromSoft mentioned that they will be updating the Summoning Pool feature with Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. They will be adding a “Map Functions” menu, which will let you enable individual Summoning Pools as well as disable them.

Now, when you decide to use the Small Golden Effigy item, only active Summoning Pools will be selected. Another feature added by this update includes some perks for NG+ players. You will now have all active Summoning Pools carry over to NG+.

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree will come with some new looks for your characters. FromSoft said they’ll be adding five new hairstyles to the game. You’ll be able to make these new fashion choices in the character creation screen, as well as when using the Clouded Mirror Stand or Rennala’s Rebirth feature.
