What is a Flame Altar in Enshrouded
The Flame Altar is the building that works as a shelter for the players, or Flameborns as they are known in Enshrouded, and protects them from the shroud.
Building your Flame Altar is the first step you will encounter in Enshrouded, to build a Flame Altar you need the following resources:
Stone x5
The game guides you through the first steps and after you have done your fair share of stone gathering you are ready to craft your first Flame Altar.
After you have crafted your Flame Altar it will appear in your inventory and then all you have to do is place it!

How to Upgrade the Flame Altar
A significant feature in Enshrouded is upgrading your Flame Altar. Upgrading your Flame Altar requires Shroud Cores and other items down the line, but for the first level up you only require x1 Shroud Core.
You can obtain your first Shroud Core by slaying the game’s first boss [Fell Thunderbrute] and you can then proceed to upgrading your Flame Altar to Level 2.
By upgrading your Flame Altar you increase Building area, as such it is an integral feature of the game and is something that should be looked at during your playthroughs.
