Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is full of side-quests and mini-games. In each of the main regions of the game, you will find a Protorelic by completing a certain questline. In the Corel region, you will have to find four Cactuar Rocks and play the mini-game Cactuar Crush. Each step of the questline takes the form of a Phenomenon Intel mission.

At the beginning of chapter 9, when the player arrives in the Corel Desert, the first Phenomenon Intel mission becomes available. Start by heading towards the sandstorm due south of the Gold Saucer Entrance. Doing so will trigger a cutscene with a Sand Giant.

Travel to the nearby Modular Reactor and pick up the Cactuar Statue. Hold it up to show you the path to the first Cactuar Rock. Follow the beam of light and you should find it easily. Interact with the Rock and defeat a group of Orange Cactrots.

Interact with the Cactuar rock again and head back to the Modular Reactor to meet a friendly Goblin called Kid G. He will ask Yuffie to play the mini-game Cactuar Crush. The aim of the game is to defeat as many Cactuars as possible in the time limit. Abilities like Windstorm can help you earn points quickly.

With step one complete, the next location will appear on your map.

Upon arriving at the next Modular Reactor in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, pick up the Cactuar Statue and follow the beam of light to the Cactuar Rock. You will find it on a rocky ledge to the east. Climb the yellow beams to reach it and fight the group of Gold Cactuars waiting for you.

Return to the Modular Reactor after interacting with the Cactuar Rock. This time, Kid G will ask Aerith to play Cactuar Crush. You will need to use Luminous Ward or Shadow Ward to deal with the Lightuars and Darktuars respectively.

After you succeed in the mini-game, Kid G will say he needs more time to prepare the next challenges. Many players are unsure here and do not know how long they should wait before returning. Continue the main story until you reach chapter 12. After the big Musclehead Colosseum fight, Kid G will call you, telling you to return for the next Phenomenon Intel missions in the Corel Region.

Defeat the Gargantuar and investigate the Cactuar Rock before returning to the Modular Reactor. It’s round two for Aerith in Cactuar Crush, with the wards playing an important part of the mini-game again.

When you have beaten Cactuar Crush for the fourth time, Kid G will challenge you to a fight. Your priority in this fight should be to stagger the Goblin as fast as possible. If he has time to use his Whammo attack, he can cause serious damage.
