As with all the Protorelics in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, you will need to complete four side-quests to get your hands on the optional collectible. If you manage to find them all, you will have the chance to challenge the elusive Gilgamesh and earn his loyalty so you can use him as a Summon.

In the Gongaga region, the Turks will pit you against a variety of monsters in a combat simulator. Getting to each location can be a challenge because of the heavy vegetation. It’s best to use the Jungle Chocobo so progress along the main story until you obtain Fango.

The first Phenomenon Intel mission is in the south of the Gongaga region. You can fast travel to the nearby reactor and go the rest of the way by Chocobo. When you arrive at the Cliffside Storehouse cache, take a right and you should find an entrance leading into an underground facility.

Here you will take part in a combat simulator where you battle three waves of basic enemies. It shouldn’t be anything you can’t handle. Don’t forget to loot the chest in the room after the fight.

Head to the southeast side of the Gongaga Village. There are three ways to access the next step of the Protorelic questline. There is a rope you can climb. You could use your Jungle Chocobo to jump on the mushroom or walk up the hill.

The same will happen when you enter the combat simulator. Battle three waves of enemies and loot the chest for your reward.

To find the next Phenomenon Intel mission, make your way to the northeast of the Gongaga region. It is far easier to access this area because you will come across a man-made bridge leading the way.

The enemies will be stronger here but if you target their weaknesses, you should be fine. Help yourself to the chest and head out for the next intel mission.

To the southwest of the Gongaga Airstrip, you will find the fourth Phenomenon Intel mission near the ruins. Instead of fighting monsters or soldiers, you will face Rude and Elena this time.

The fight is similar to your encounter in Chapter 3. They are a difficult duo to deal with so focus on their weaknesses, thunder and wind, to pressure them.

After dealing with the Turks, you can enjoy a cutscene. Now you have the Protorelic, you are another step closer to facing Gilgamesh. The multi-armed samurai is waiting for you to find the rest. Celebrate your success and get to it.
