Greg Street has been in the game design industry since 1998 when he joined Ensemble Studios to work on the Age of Empires series. From 2008 to 2013, Street served as the Lead Systems Designer for World of Warcraft, where he gained recognition for his active engagement with the player community through forums and social media. Street left Blizzard in 2013 to work at Riot Games and later founded FPC in 2023.

On November 2, the official FPC Twitter account announced that the studio is developing a new MMORPG, codenamed Ghost. The studio's post included a video in which Street shared his excitement about the project and discussed FPC's intentions for Ghost. While the game is in its early stages of development, Street emphasized the importance of community involvement, stating that "the way to make the best possible game is by talking to you all, our community, early and often."

This approach is aimed at building a positive relationship with the MMO player community, following some negative community interactions with Street's former employer, Blizzard. Those interested in learning more about Ghost are invited to join a livestream on November 8, where Street and other FPC team members will provide additional information about the project.

The studio's website, linked in the announcement post, offers some preliminary details about Ghost. The game will be set in a post-apocalyptic fantasy world where players must navigate between floating shards of a shattered realm, categorized as Blue Shards and Red Shards.

Blue Shards will serve as "private realms for you and your friends," emphasizing collaboration on a smaller scale. Red Shards, on the other hand, will be larger, more public areas focused on delivering extensive open-world PvP experiences. All these details are subject to change as Ghost's development progresses.

While Ghost is still in its infancy, the limited information provided hints at an ambitious project. With World of Warcraft's influence on the MMORPG genre gradually waning after almost two decades, FPC may aspire to seize that spotlight. MMO enthusiasts will undoubtedly keep a close watch on this project as it evolves.
