Ranked Cups will return to Fortnite in Chapter 5 - Season 2. The Ranked Cup is a simple event, used in almost every MOBA out there. Fortnite players are matched against others in the same rank pool as them. This tournament is available to all players. The rewards usually consist of cosmetics for players who reach specific points.

  • There is only one confirmed reward, and it's the Ranked Umbrella, which you can receive for earning 75 points in a single session.

The Fortnite Championship Series 2024: FNCS Chaos

FNCS Chaos
Epic Games

Epic Games has already announced The Fortnite Championship Series (FNCS) for 2024, with a huge prize pool of $7,675,000 and three Majors culminating in an epic in-person showdown at the FNCS Global Championship 2024. The competition format is in duos who have reached Platinum I rank in Ranked Battle Royale.

However, before we have any information about this competition, leakers have datamined something called 'FNCS Chaos'. The same leakers think this is weird as Fortnite players didn't have any form of FNCS event during Fortnite OG. Currently, no one is sure what this might bring to the game. FNCS Chaos has 2 Windows and a Finals event. The leak also includes release dates:

  • Window 1: In the past (November 5th, 2023 - February 24th, 2024)
  • Window 2: March 27th - April 21st
  • Finals: May 24th - July 24th

What could this mean, and what do the windows suggest? As of yet, fans aren't sure.

Jujutsu Kaisen Cup: 'Season 29 JJK Cup'

Leaks suggest there will be a Jujutsu Kaisen Tournament in Fortnite. This also suggests the Jujutsu Kaisen collaboration isn't over, similar to how the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles got a Second Part of their Collab. Fortnite players will probably get a second set of JJK skins because of this tournament. So far, leaks don't tell what this limited-time event might bring to the gameplay, but we shall wait and see.

Floor is Lava Cup: 'Lava Cup'

Floor is Lava Fortnite
Epic Games

Fortnite fans might know the Floor is Lava limited-time event from previous seasons. This mode causes lava to start rising 5 minutes into the match. The lava keeps getting more and more, submerging the whole island and thus making it difficult for players to navigate the map. Touching the lava deals 20 damage. However, it is possible to build on the lava, and players receive materials every second (due to farming not being an option because of the surrounding lava).

The following theory was shared on Twitter. What do you think?

"In OG World of Warcraft, Molten core was a lava raid dungeon, Ragnaros was the final boss there, and the hammer he’d carry/drop as loot was known as Sulfuras."

Duos Zero Build

In this Zero Build mode, Fortnite players aren't allowed to build. This makes the gameplay quite different and interesting. The materials Wood, Stone, and Metal are not available. However, the spawn rates of Utility Items are increased.

Victory Cash Cup

Cash Cups are weekly competitions in Fortnite for top players. Winners get cash prizes. They come in Solos and Trios formats, and each region has its own. You can only join your region's cup. Cups can have one or two rounds - In one round, top players win prizes. In two rounds, the best 100 (or 50 teams in Duos, 33 teams in Trios) play more games for more prizes. Victory Cash Cup spices up Cash Cup. In it, the winner needs to get a Victory Royale in the final round to earn the prize money.

So far we don't know when these Cups will be available in Fortnite. With the upcoming Season being released so soon, we'll know any moment now. What do you think about the upcoming Fortnite Tournaments? Will you try them out?
