Following HoYoverse's standard six-week update cycle, Genshin Impact 4.3 will possibly launch on December 20th, 2023. New 5-Star Characters

Two new 5-star characters have been officially confirmed so far for the 4.3 update — Geo claymore-wielder Navia and Cryo sword-user Kamisato Ayaka.

  • Navia is the leader of the humanitarian Fontaine organization Spina di Rosula. She will likely fill a main DPS role focused on Geo damage and crystallize reactions.
  • Ayaka is returning for a rerun after first releasing in July 2021. A powerful Cryo DPS swordswoman from Inazuma, her banner will tempt players aiming to improve their freeze teams.

Expected Character Banners

Based on leaks, the Phase 1 banner will feature the debut 5-star Navia paired with Ayaka's rerun banner. For weapons, Navia's signature Claymore "Considered Judgement" and Ayaka's Mistsplitter Reforged are expected to debut.

For Phase 2 starting on January 10th, early leaks point to Raiden Shogun and Yoimiya reruns, with new 4-star pyro polearm user Chevreuse possibly featured as well.

In-Game Events

A mix of new events and returning favorites will accompany the new update.

  • Flagship event “Dance of Deeply Pondering, Resolutely Spinning” will allow players to obtain a free 4-star Claymore.
  • Other known events include Marvelous Merchandise, Lost Riches, and a Navia-focused quest called “Guns and Roses.”
  • More details will likely emerge from the official Livestream before launch.

Expect new quests expanding on Fontaine lore as well. However, following the conclusion of the main Fontaine storyline in 4.2, no new Archon quests are expected this round.
