Genshin Impact Version 5.0 will be released this Wednesday, August 28, 2024. Alongside the new version, players can also expect a set of new character and weapon banners to pull on.
The first phase of version 5.0 will offer two limited-character banners and one limited-weapon banner for players to spend their Primogems on, and you can find more details about them below.

Phase One Banner Schedule
All three phase one banners (two character banners, and one weapon banner) will have the same schedule starting on August 28, 2024, and running for almost three weeks. You can find the full schedule in the table below.

Character Banners
Phase one will feature two limited-character banners. One of the banners will feature a new 5-star character from Natlan, while the other will feature a re-running character for players to pull for.

Weapon Banner
The weapon banner this time around will feature 1 new 5-star weapon and one re-running 5-star weapon. However, that is not all the news about this banner. Starting version 5.0, the Weapon Banner [Epitome Invocation] will require only 1 Fate Point to guarantee a copy of the 5-star weapon you want.
This means that starting Version 5.0 players will need to spend at most 160 Intertwined Fates rather than 240 Intertwined Fates as it is right now. This change will allow players to get their desired 5-star weapon way more easily and might finally remove the stigma that F2P players should not get close to the Weapon Banner.
