The Genshin Impact Version 5.2 update is just around the corner, with a confirmed release date of November 20, 2024. The new version is set to bring a series of new content to the game, such as a continuation of the Natlan Archon Quest, new events, and new zones to explore, but it will also give us the opportunity to pull for two new characters, those being Chasca and Ororon, which are part of the Flower-Feather Clan and Masters of the Night-Wind, respectively. Discover more details about these upcoming characters below.
Chasca
Name: | Chasca | |
Constellation: | Vultur Gryphus
Rarity: | 5-star | |
Element: | Anemo | |
Weapon: | Bow | |

Chasca is an upcoming 5-star Anemo character that is confirmed to be released in the first phase of Version 5.2. Chasca is a DPS character who uses her massive gun to soar through the air while dealing a ton of Anemo damage to enemies. Similar to other Natlan characters, Chasca can use her Elemental Skill to enter a unique movement state. In her case, she jumps on top of a massive gun and is able to fly through the world of Teyvat, as long as she has Nightsoul Points and Phlogiston.
While in flight, Chasca can use her gun to shoot Anemo bullets at enemies, dealing serious Anemo damage. Additionally, if you have teammates with different elements in your team setup, Chasca will fire off different elemental bullets for each character of a different element. These bullets will deal elemental damage akin to the element they’re from.

Ororon
Name: | Ororon | |
Constellation: | Vampyrum Spectrum
Rarity: | 4-star | |
Element: | Electro | |
Weapon: | Bow | |
VA |

Ororon is an upcoming 4-star Electro character that is confirmed to be coming alongside Chasca in the first phase of version 5.2. He will be one of the three rate-up 4-star characters on both Chasca and Lyney’s banners, giving players the chance to start pulling for him as early as November 20, 2024. Being a 4-star character, Ororon is expected to not see much use, but he is nonetheless one of Natlan’s characters, and as such, he comes with a unique movement mechanic. Being part of the Masters of the Night-Wind clan, Ororon is able to perform high jumps, similar to the ones you can experience by jumping on the mushroom in Sumeru. Combined with some of Natlan’s other characters, he can certainly make for an interesting character.
When it comes to his kit, Ororon is an Electro off-field applier and sub-DPS thanks to his on-field ultimate. Apart from that, he really doesn’t stand out much. From what we’ve seen, we can speculate that he will be a good teammate to place in electrocharged teams, but more testing will be needed to determine his full use.
