Genshin Impact Version 5.3 is just around the corner, and during the version livestream, we finally received confirmation about the upcoming banners. Contrary to what the fans were expecting, the developers pulled a nice trick on us by placing both new 5-star characters, Mavuika and Citlali, in the first phase of the version. This was certainly something that the players weren’t expecting, and it is unlike anything miHoYo has done in the past. Phase One Banners
The first phase of Version 5.3 will feature 3 unique banners, with two of them being character banners and the remaining one being the weapon banner. The character banners will be known as Ancient Flame Ablaze and Starry Night’s Whispers. With the former allowing players to pull for Mavuika and the latter for Citlali. Both banners will run simultaneously and will share pity amongst themselves.
Apart from the character banners, players can expect to encounter two new 5-star weapons in the weapon banner known as A Thousand Blazing Suns and Starcaller's Watch. Both of these weapons will also be available at the same time as the character banners, and players will be able to choose which of the two to pull for. With the changes to the weapon banner that became live in Version 5.0, pulling for weapons is now easier than ever, so those of you wanting to get a good piece of equipment for your Mavuika or Citlali will certainly find this banner more rewarding than before.

Phase Two Banners
The phase two banners will feature two rerun banners bringing back the 5-star characters Arlecchino and Clorinde. In addition, the new 4-star Anemo character, Lan Yan, will also make an appearance as one of the boosted 4-star characters on both of these banners. The limited character banners will be known as The Hearth’s Ashen Shadow and Illuminating Lighting, with the former featuring the 5-star Pyro character Arlecchino and the latter featuring the 5-star Lightning character Clorinde.
Alongside the phase two character banners, players will get the unique chance to pull for two ridiculously powerful weapons on the weapon banner. The 5-star weapons that will be available on this weapon banner include the 5-star polearm Crimson Moon's Semblance and the 5-star sword Absolution. Both of these are amazingly powerful weapons and an item that can be equipped on almost any character. If you haven’t burned your primos in the first phase of the version, then this weapon banner just might be good enough to burn a hole through your wallets.
