Gaming joins Genshin Impact as the newest 4-star character. He is a Pyro unit wielding a Claymore. Gaming focuses on incorporating lion dance moves into his playstyle making him not only a joy to play with but also to watch.
Gaming is an interesting character because he is one of the few units in the game that have their kit revolve around Plunge Attacks. He is certainly a good addition to the Genshin Impact roster and we’re here to tell you all you need to know about him!

Who is Gaming
A master of lion dancing and one accompanied by music wherever he goes, Gaming joins the current roster of Genshin Impact characters as the newest 4-star Pyro character.
He brings a lot of new to the game by expanding on Genshin Impact’s seemingly forgotten Plunge Attack playstyle. Despite being a 4-star Gaming is able to dish out a lot of damage and is certainly a good addition to your roster.
Now then, let’s see what he does and what his best build is!

Gaming Kit and Abilities
As already mentioned, Gaming's kit focuses on Plunge Attacks and slamming down on your enemies from above. He is able to refresh the CD on his E with the help of his Ultimate making him quite a spammy character to play around with. Here is his full kit breakdown alongside his passives.
Gaming Skills
ATK
Stellar Rend - Normal Attack
- Performs up to 4 consecutive strikes.
SKILL
Bestial Ascent - Skill
- Pounces forward using the Wushou arts, leaping high into the air after coming into contact with a target or surface.
- After Gaming has used Bestial Ascent to rise into the air, he will use the especially powerful Plunging Attack: Charmed Cloudstrider when performing a Plunging Attack.
- Plunging Attack: Charmed Cloudstrider
- The DMG from Plunging Attacks caused by Bestial Ascent is converted to Pyro DMG that cannot be overridden by other elemental infusions. Upon landing, Gaming will consume a fixed amount of HP. Gaming's HP cannot be reduced below 10% by this method.
- Charmed Cloudstrider DMG is considered Plunging Attack DMG.
ULT
Suanni's Gilded Dance - Ultimate
- Gaming enters Wushou Stance, briefly applying Pyro to him, recovering a fixed amount of HP, and summons his companion, the Suanni Man Chai, to smash into his target, dealing AoE Pyro DMG.
- After bashing its target, Man Chai will roll to a nearby location before moving towards Gaming. When it links up with Gaming, Man Chai will leave the field and reset the CD for Gaming's Elemental Skill, Bestial Ascent.
- While Wushou Stance is active, his resistance to interruption is increased, and when Gaming lands with Charmed Cloudstrider attack or completes the forward pounce attack from Bestial Ascent with over 50% HP, he will summon Man Chai again.
- Each Gaming can only have 1 Man Chai on the field simultaneously.
- This effect will be canceled once Gaming leaves the field.

The Striding Beast
- Increases the Movement SPD of your own party members by 10% during the day (6:00 – 18:00).
- Does not take effect in Domains, Trounce Domains, or Spiral Abyss.
- Not stackable with Passive Talents that provide the exact same effects.
P2
Dance of Amity
- After Bestial Ascent's Plunging Attack: Charmed Cloudstrider hits an opponent, Gaming will regain 1.5% of his Max HP once every 0.2s for 0.8s.
P3
Air of Prosperity
- When Gaming has less than 50% HP, he will receive a 20% Incoming Healing Bonus. When Gaming has 50% HP or more, Plunging Attack: Charmed Cloudstrider will deal 20% more DMG.

Gaming Best Weapons
As he is a 4-star character, Gaming doesn’t have a signature weapon attached to him, but that does not mean that he doesn’t have some good choice he can use. Here are all the weapons that we think are great on Gaming.
Gaming Best Weapon
Best Weapon:
Verdict
- Increases ATK by 20%. When party members obtain Elemental Shards from Crystallize reactions, the equipping character will gain 1 Seal, increasing Elemental Skill DMG by 18%. The Seal lasts for 15s, and the equipper may have up to 2 Seals at once. All of the equipper's Seals will disappear 0.2s after their Elemental Skill deals DMG.
Beacon of the Reed Sea
- After the character's Elemental Skill hits an opponent, their ATK will be increased by 20% for 8s. After the character takes DMG, their ATK will be increased by 20% for 8s. The 2 aforementioned effects can be triggered even when the character is not on the field. Additionally, when not protected by a shield, the character's Max HP will be increased by 32%.
Alternative:
Wolf’s Gravestone
- Increases ATK by 20%. On hit, attacks against opponents with less than 30% HP increase all party members' ATK by 40% for 12s. Can only occur once every 30s.
F2P Option:
Tidal Shadow
- After the wielder is healed, ATK will be increased by 24% for 8s. This can be triggered even when the character is not on the field.

Gaming Best Artifacts
As far as artifacts goes, given that Gaming can manipulate his own HP, he is more than happy to use the Marechaussee Hunter even without needing Furina. We believe that is his best artifact set, but there are some other choices you can use as well. Here is the full breakdown.
Gaming Best Artifacts
Best Artifact Set:
Marechaussee Hunter
- 2-Piece: Normal and Charged Attack DMG +15%
- 4-Piece: When current HP increases or decreases, CRIT Rate will be increased by 12% for 5s. Max 3 stacks.
Alternative:
Vermillion Hereafter
- 2-Piece: ATK +18%
- 4-Piece: After using an Elemental Burst, this character will gain the Nascent Light effect, increasing their ATK by 8% for 16s. When the character's HP decreases, their ATK will further increase by 10%. This further increase can occur this way a maximum of 4 times. This effect can be triggered once every 0.8s. Nascent Light will be dispelled when the character leaves the field. If an Elemental Burst is used again during the duration of Nascent Light, the original Nascent Light will be dispelled.
For Main and Sub Stats you'd want to go for:
- Sands: ATK%
- Goblet: Pyro DMG Bonus%
- Circlet: Crit DMG
For Sub-Stats you should focus on:
CRIT DMG/CRIT Rate > Energy Recharge > ATK%

Gaming Best Teams
There are a number of teams that Gaming can fit into, but we believe that using him in a Vaporize comp will make the most out of his element. Here are some teams that we recommend:
- Gaming - Xianyun - Furina - Bennet
- Gaming - Xianyun - Yelan - Xingqiu
- Gaming - Sucrose - Rosaria - Bennet

How to Get Gaming
There are numerous ways that you can go about getting Gaming.
First off is pulling on the Limited Character Banners that are running from:
January 31, 2024 – February 20, 2024
The other way is to play the main event of Version 4.4 and obtain him through the 4-star Liyue character selector.
The third and final way is to pull on the Regular banner in the hope of getting him, however, we strongly advise against that, as the chances to get Gaming from there are really slim!

Should you Pull for Gaming
All in all, Gaming is an interesting character that offers a new way to use Plunge Attacks and he is a great alternative to Xiao if you want to get into the Plunge Attack gameplay style. However, given that he is a 4-star unit and if we consider how HoYoverse have been making their 4-star units lately, to make him truly viable you will need his C6.
Gaming is surely still viable and although he feels complete even without his C6, however, the boost from his constellations and the diversity it offers his kit are not one to be overlooked.
Overall, we believe Gaming is fun to play around with, however, if you truly wish to make him shine then you might need to look at some of his constellations.
