Genshin Impact Version 4.5 - Chronicled Wish Full Guide

The Genshin Impact 4.5 Livestream introduced a ton of new features that will be coming to the game during some time in March.

However, among those features was something that shocked players and something that Genshin Impact fans have been expecting for a long time.

A banner in which you can pick the character and weapon you want!

This guide will go over the new Chronicled Wish Banner and give you a full explanation of what it is and how you can use it when it goes live in Genshin Impact 4.5.

What is the Chronicled Wish

The Chronicled Wish will be a new type of banner that will appear alongside the currently existing character and weapon banners.

It works similar to the Standard Banner in that you can get both Characters and Weapons from it.

However, unlike the Standard Banner in the Chronicled Wish banner you will be able to chart either a Character or a Weapon from a predetermined selection, and you will have a chance of getting that specific character or weapon.

The Chronicled Wish works just like the Limited Banner when it comes to how you receive characters or weapons. Meaning that you will have to wish on it using either Intertwined Fates or Primogems.

What Can you Get from the Chronicled Wish

The Chronicled Wish will feature a predetermined selection of 5-star Characters and 5-star Weapons that you can choose from to chart in order to get them.

The Characters in the Chronicled Wish will be chosen from a pool of characters that have had at least 3-reruns and has not been featured recently.

Furthermore, apart from the 5-star characters and weapons you will also be able to get 4-star characters and weapons and 3-star weapons from the banner.

The 5-star Characters and 5-star Weapons in the Chronicled Wish will likely change at certain intervals, however, not much information about that has been revealed.

Is There a Pity System

Yes, like any other banner in Genshin Impact the Chronicled Wish has a pity system where you are guaranteed to get a 5-star Character or Weapon when you do 90 pulls.

If you get a 5-star character or weapon before that the pity will reset and you will start building up again.

The Chronicled Wish uses Intertwined Fates and before you wish on it you will be prompted to choose your [Chronicled Path] by picking a 5-star character or weapon from the list of 5-star items.

After choosing your chronicled path your rewards when you get a 5-star item will be different depending on what you have chosen.

• If you have chosen a character for your Chronicled Path then when you get a 5-star item it is guaranteed to be a character.
• If you have chosen a weapon for you Chronicled Path then when you get a 5-star item it is guaranteed to be a weapon.

Note that the Chronicled Wish does not 100% guarantee that you will receive the item you have chosen for you Chronicled Path. Like the Limited Character Banner you will only have a 50% to win the item you have chosen.

However, if you do not receive the item you have charted in your Chronicled Path then you will get a [Fate Point].

What Are Fate Points

Fate Points work in the same way as the Limited Weapon Banner. 

However, in the Chronicled Path you can only have a maximum of 1 Fate Point, meaning that if you lose the 50/50 the next time you receive a 5-star item it is guaranteed to be the item you have chosen in the Chronicled Path.

Note that although the pity you have built up in the Chronicled Wish banner carries over, the Fate Points that you may have obtained after losing the 50/50 do not carry over.

This means that if you have lost the 50/50 and have obtained a Fate Point, but don't like the characters on the current Chronicled Wish and want to wait until the next one to have a guaranteed character, you will not be able to do so as the Fate Point will not carry over and you will still have a 50% chance of not getting the character you want.

When To Expect the Chronicled Wish

The Chronicled Wish event banner will be live starting Genshin Impact Version 4.5 and will remain as a new type of banner that players can wish on.

Unfortunately we still do not have any information on how long each phase of this banner will last for.
