Maintenance Date and Time
The Version 5.3 maintenance will begin on January 1, 2025, at 06:00 (UTC+8). The maintenance is estimated to last 5 hours, as per usual, but do keep in mind that this is only an estimate, and as such it can either take longer or shorter for the maintenance to be complete. Whenever the maintenance is close to being completed at 11:00 (UTC+8) on January 1, make sure to check the official media channels for Genshin Impact to see if the game is live. Or the next best thing you can do is log into the game yourselves and try to get in! It is worth noting that during the time of the maintenance, players will not be able to log into the game, and those who are live when the maintenance begins will be automatically kicked out of the game. As such, make sure to complete all of your daily tasks and everything else you have going on before the maintenance starts. Doing so will prevent you from losing any kind of progress.

Compensation
While the downtime during the maintenance is annoying and leaves us fiddling our thumbs on what to do until it is over, luckily the developers always reward us for our patience, and this time will be no different. After the maintenance has concluded, players who have reached Adventure Rank 5 and above before January 1, 2025, at 06:00 (UTC+8), or, in other words, before the start of the maintenance, will be eligible to receive 300 Primogems when the servers go back live. This compensation will be given out through the in-game mail system, and the developers anticipate every eligible player to receive it within 5 hours after the update goes live. The maintenance compensation mail and the rewards will expire after 30 days of being sent out, so do not forget to log into the game and claim the 300 Primogems before it is too late.
