The Genshin Impact Version 5.3 phase one banners have finally been officially announced, and at last, we know which 4-star characters will be coming alongside Mavuika and Citlali in the first phase of this version. Both Mavuika and Citlali are shaping up to be amazing characters that you won’t want to miss, so you better have enough Primogems saved up to get the one you’ve chosen, or who knows, maybe both. Phase One Character Banners
The first phase of Version 5.3 will feature two character banners for you to pull on. These character banners will be known as:
- Ancient Flame Ablaze
- Starry Night's Whispers
The Ancient Flame Ablaze will give you the opportunity to pull for the NEW 5-star Pyro character, Mavuika. Meanwhile, Starry Night's Whispers will feature the NEW 5-star Cryo character, Citlali. Ancient Flame Ablaze

If you pull on the Ancient Flame Ablaze banner, you will have the opportunity to get the Pyro Archon, Mavuika. Mavuika is a ridiculously overpowered character that can function as both an on-field DPS and an off-field Pyro applicator. She is a truly versatile character who can fit into various teams, and being one of the 7 Archons makes her that much more tempting to pull for. She is a 5-star Pyro character who uses Claymores and can fit with most 5-star Claymores in the game and even some 4-star. Summarizing, we doubt you’ll regret pulling for her!
Starry Night's Whispers

If you pull on the Starry Night's Whispers banner, you will have the opportunity to get the NEW 5-star Cryo character, Citlali. Citlali is a Catalyst user who works as a shielder/support unit for your teams. She provides a nice shield that scales from Elemental Mastery, and while her shield is not the biggest out there, her Pyro and Hydro RES shred, as well as decent damage, make her a great support unit to have on your teams. Citlali is also one of the best teammates to pair alongside Mavuika, so while your Primogems might suffer, you might want to consider trying to get both characters if you can. Despite being a Cryo character, Citlali is arguably as good as Mavuika in terms of pull value, so you will not regret pulling on her as well!

Phase One Weapon Banner

The weapon banner’s name is the same as always, and it will be known as the Epitome Invocation. In this version of the weapon banner, players will be able to pull for two NEW 5-star weapons. The [A Thousand Blazing Suns (Claymore)] and the [Starcaller’s Watch (Catalyst)]. Both of these weapons are the signature weapons of Mavuika and Citlali, and both are nice weapons to have on your roster if you decide to pull on this weapon banner. In addition to the new 5-star weapons, players will also receive boosted drop rates for the following 4-star weapons:
- Lithic Blade (Claymore)
- Sacrificial Sword (Sword)
- Favonius Lance (Polearm)
- Favonius Codex (Catalyst)
- The Stringless (Bow)
