Travelers! Version 5.1 is at last upon us, and you all know what that means, right? We get new stories to uncover, new events to participate in, and last but certainly not least, a new character to play around with, if we get it that is. Xilonen is finally out and is the 11th character to be added to the Geo roster, while also being the 4th Geo Sword user in the game. She is an amazing support who can not only buff your team’s damage tremendously but also packs a solid punch, dealing decent damage if you decide to go the Xilonen DPS route. Now, let’s see how to properly build her so that you can get her ready for your teams!

Let’s get down to who Xilonen is and what role she fulfills in the game. As you may already know, Xilonen is a 5-star Geo character and the newest addition to the Natlan roster. She is a unique character who can either be played as a powerful support, on the same level as Kazuha, or a pseudo-main DPS, who, albeit not the strongest, can still deal a solid amount of damage.
If you opt to play Xilonen as a support, which is the route we advise going as well, you will be benefiting from a 30% resistance shred to all elements apart from Anemo, Dendro, and Physical. In addition to this resistance shred, you will also get a solid DMG boost if you decide to play her with the newly added artifact set Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City, while also receiving a solid amount of healing thanks to her Elemental Burst, or Ultimate for short. In addition to all of these buffs, you can also expect to get a further 20+% of increased damage if you happen to pull for her signature weapon, Peak Patrol Song.
Now then onto DPS Xilonen. Thanks to her elemental skill, Xilonen can also be played as a pseudo-DPS character thanks to her Geo infusion and 30+% Geo Resistance shred. Couple this with her satisfying normal attack animations in her Elemental Skill state, and you get a decently powerful and fun character to play around with. Xilonen can deal a decent amount of damage, and to top it off, she also scales off of DEF%, making her way easier to build than some other DPS characters. Despite not being the best DPS character there is, Xilonen can still clear all forms of content as a DPS.

Xilonen Best Weapons
When it comes to weapons, the great news here is that you won’t have to change up your weapons for Xilonen, as what is good for her support build will also be amazing for her DPS build. That being said, there is no doubt that her signature weapon is the best choice for both Xilonen variants, as not only does it provide an amazing boost in DEF% but also increases the overall damage. However, you also have a great F2P alternative, which you can go ahead and craft right now if you’re not going to be pulling for her signature!

Xilonen Best Artifacts
When we consider artifacts, there are only two sets that we can look at for Xilonen, and both are the new Natlan sets that were added in Version 5.0. Both of these sets are just great for Natlan characters and provide amazing buffs whether you decide to play the character as a support or DPS. In Xilonen’s case, the set you choose to use will depend on which playstyle you opt for, with the Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City being used for her support build and Obsidian Codex for her DPS build. There is unfortunately no great alternative for both of these sets, so if you want to optimize Xilonen, you better start farming!

2-Piece: When a nearby party member triggers a Nightsoul Burst, the equipping character regenerates 6 Energy. 4-Piece: After the equipping character triggers a reaction related to their Elemental Type, all nearby party members gain a 12% Elemental DMG Bonus for reaction-proximate Elemental Types for 15s. If the equipping character is in the Nightsoul's Blessing state when triggering this effect, all nearby party members gain an additional 28% Elemental DMG Bonus for reaction-proximate Elemental Types for 20s. The equipping character can trigger this effect while off-field, and the DMG bonus from Artifact Sets with the same name do not stack. |

Xilonen Skill Priority
Coming to the topic of skill, you’ll generally want to prioritize Xilonen’s Elemental Skill, as it will give the most amount of buffs and deal the most amount of DMG, followed by her Elemental Burst, and finally Normal Attacks.
