Granblue Fantasy Relink: Best Io Build Guide

Io is one of the starter characters that you get in Granblue Fantasy: Relink and she is the dedicated mage of the party. Io has great damage and utility by offering lots of debuffs on enemies and also dealing a lot of damage.

In this guide we’ll go over how to build her so that she can cast her Stargaze with a short charge time, allowing you to deal ridiculous amounts of damage!

Who is Io

Don't let her small size fool you. This young mage is eager to showcase her impressive talent. She vows to bring smiles to the world.

Io is a part of the Grancypher crew and is one of the first characters that you get in Granblue Fantasy: Relink.

She is a great character that can be used by new fans of the series as all of her attacks are ranged, allowing you to stay out of harm’s way as you do damage. 

She uses a Staff as her weapon and falls under the Light Element, despite all of her skills having different elements. In this guide we’ll show you how to best build her so that she casts fast and does a ton of damage.

Io Best Skills

As already mentioned, Io has a lot of damage dealing skills, but most of them are there to prepare enemies for your charged attack, Stargaze.

The skills that we have chosen here work by supplying Io with Mystic Vortex orbs while also inflicting debuffs on your enemies so that your Stargaze can do the most damage possible. 

Here are the four skills that we recommend on Io.

Io Best Skills

Fire

• Burn nearby foes before shooting a fireball that inflicts DEF↓.
• Gain a Mystic Vortex orb on cast.

Gravity Well

• Casts a dark-element spell that deals constant damage. Hold while casting to aim the spell.
• Gain a Mysitc Vortex orb on cast.

Lightning

• Casts a circle of lightning that inflicts Paralysis. Hold while casting to aim the circle.
• Gain a Mystick Vortex orb on the cast.

Mystic Vortex

• Instantly maxes out Io's Mystic Vortex orbs.

Io Best Weapon

When it comes to damage dealing then there are no better weapons than the Stinger series. This is the same for Io. Her best weapon for dealing damage is - [Colossus Cane Omega]

Colossus Cane Omega is a great choice to boost your Crit Rate, allowing you to land those big hits with Stargaze more often!

Io Best Sigils

When it comes to sigils we want to maximize Io’s cast time speed as well as increase her damage as much as possible.

To do this we are going to be using one of the best sigils in the game - [Damage Cap] alongside Io’s signature sigils and some [Quick Charge] and [Stamina] sigils.

Mage's Aspiration

• Shorterns Stargaze's Charge Time.

Damage Cap

• Raises the damage limit of attacks.

Stamina

• Boosts attack based on how high your health is.

Quick Charge

• Charged attacks charge faster. Boosts attack power.

Critical Hit Rate

• Boosts critical hit rate.

Summary

Io is a great starting character, and given that she is a ranged character, she is way easier to use than most of the melee units in Relink.

Being able to deal tons of damage at a distance, while also keeping an eye on the whole battlefield is something that Io does great.

If you like mage-like characters and big numbers then you won’t go wrong with Io, and given that you get her right after completing Chapter 1 of Granblue Fantasy: Relink’s story she is definitely that you may want to consider building straight out of the bat.
