GTA Online boasts a massive community of street racers, crew members, and roleplayers. But with the good apples come the bad. If you're tired of griefers and trolls ruining your play sessions in GTA Online, and you'd rather not take the money-making penalties of switching to a private session, then solo public lobbies are for you. Here's how to connect to a solo public lobby in GTA Online.

Simply follow the steps below to connect to a solo public session in GTA Online on PC.
- Connect to a public GTA Online session and get inside a building you own
- Use Alt-tab to navigate out of GTA Online and open 'Task Manager'
- Select the 'Performance' tab
- Click 'Open Resource Monitor' at the bottom of the Performance tab
- Locate GTA5.exe
- Right-click GTA5.exe, then select 'Suspend Process'
- Wait for a few seconds, then right-click GTA5.exe again and select 'Resume Process'
- Return to the game and you’ll now have your own solo session
It's worth noting that, while this process will effectively place you in a solo GTA Online public play session, it will not prevent new players from steadily joining your session.
