With Patch 30.0 of Hearthstone, players will finally gain access to the highly anticipated "Perils in Paradise" expansion which will be released on July 23, with 145 new cards. This expansion's theme revolves around a resort managed by Martin, a retired pirate embarking on a new journey of managing a tourist resort on a paradise island.
Each class in Hearthstone receives 10 new cards, including two Legendary cards, one of which is a Tourist. These cards are designed to represent various types of vacations or vacation activities, with each class embodying a specific aspect of these experiences. The new keyword, "Tourist," allows each class to experience the vacation style of another class, adding a unique twist to the gameplay.
As is tradition, beyond the thematic flavor, these 10 cards aim to introduce and enhance certain playstyles, making them more viable in the current meta. Check out all new Death Knight cards below!

Death Knight Cards Theme & Playstyle
For the Death Knight class, the new cards explore the flavors of Undead Pirates and Skateboarders. From the revealed Death Knight cards, it is clear that Blizzard intends to emphasize a couple of gameplay ideas for this newest class.
One primary focus for Death Knight in "Perils in Paradise" is the Freeze mechanic. This mechanic, which causes a minion to skip its next attack move, aligns perfectly with the Frost Rune theme for Death Knight. Historically, the Frost Rune has been a supportive playstyle for Unholy and Blood Death Knights but has struggled to shine independently. The new cards—Slippery Slope, Snow Shredder, Frostbitten Freebooter, and Corpsicle—aim to bolster the Frost Death Knight's viability in the meta.
The Tourist card for Death Knight, named Buttons, is a Shaman tourist. Buttons grants Death Knights access to all Shaman cards released in the "Perils in Paradise" expansion and has the effect, "Draw a spell of each spell school." With Death Knights already possessing powerful frost spells and Shaman having a diverse array of spell schools, this card holds significant potential. Additionally, Buttons allows Death Knights to explore the Shaman fantasy for this expansion—visiting an extravagant cabaret!
