How to Equip & Use Emote in Helldivers 2?
The default emote animation in Helldivers 2 is quite basic. To change it, head to the Armory section and select the Character tab where emotes can be equipped. Unlocked emotes like Hug or Rock Paper Scissors can be selected here before dropping into a mission.
Once an emote is equipped in the Armory, activate it during a mission by:
- Holding left on the D-pad on PS5
- Pressing the B key on the PC
This will play the equipped emote animation. The game doesn't allow an emote wheel for quick access, so players must set their preferred one before entering a mission.

How to Unlock More Emotes in Helldivers 2
Additional emotes beyond the default are unlocked with Warbonds in the Acquisition Center. Warbonds are earned by completing daily Personal Order Challenges that award 15 medals each.
Once enough Warbonds have been collected, head to the in-game store to purchase new emotes like:

Some emotes are designed for two players. However, only one player needs to have the emote equipped. When activated, a prompt will appear allowing a nearby teammate to join the partner emote.
