How to Beat Scout Striders in Helldivers 2

The first time we went on an Automatons mission, we were literally demolished by the first Scout Strider we encountered. At first, it seems they have no weak point since their thick armor cannot be pierced by most weapons. The Scout Strider is essentially a giant turret with large limbs, operated by a trooper on its back. They have two very exploitable weak points:

• Giant Legs: Targeting the joints of their limbs can quickly disable them, bringing the Scout Strider to the ground and rendering it immobile. You can then get close to finish them off or throw a grenade from a distance to kill them.

• Pilot in the Back: If you get behind a Scout Strider, you will see a pilot operating the giant turret-like creature. The pilot is vulnerable to most weapons in the game. Simply have a teammate distract the Scout Strider while you go behind it and kill the pilot.

Alternatively, you can use weapons like the Railgun, Autocannon, or Spear to quickly kill them from afar. Any weapon capable of breaking armor will be effective in killing them. Using high-damage stratagems can also be effective in dealing with them, but we do not recommend wasting cooldowns against a single Strider.
