Helldivers 2 Leaks: New Playable Mechs Were Already Expected
Mechs featured prominently in the original Helldivers and the Helldivers 2 launch trailer noted they would be "coming soon." This video suggests the developer has progressed enough in implementing them into the game build to start limited testing.
A second different mech also appears briefly, labeled an EXO-48 whereas the mech in the trailer was an EXO-44. This points to multiple playable mech types being made available.
In the leaked Reddit video, the user explained that another player was somehow already accessing unreleased content, including "an energy RPG, a meteorite that hits like the nuke, [and] a group of Helldivers you can call in to support you."

Mystery Access Raises Questions
The Reddit user admitted being confused about the identity of the player spawning unreleased content, wondering if they were a developer testing features or had managed to hack the game in some way. Shortly after showing off various equipment, the match crashed and the mysterious player's username vanished.
While concrete details are still lacking, between existing familiarity with mechs and this footage, it seems likely Arrowhead Studios has playable mechs in active development. As Helldivers 2 resolves ongoing server issues and adds content, we may see more leaks in the near future.
With continued optimizations and the dungeon master system for live updates, the dev team seems poised to rapidly introduce substantial new weapons and vehicles. We'll be sure to share more information on mechs in Helldivers 2 as soon as Arrowhead provides official updates.
