Helldivers 2: New Super Destroyer Ship Upgrades

We have all been eager to get started on the new Warbond released by Helldivers 2 but we had no idea that Arrowhead would drop a bunch of ship upgrades at the same time. Democratic Demolition launched today so we will all be farming Super Credits but while we are out there, keep an eye out for samples. We are going to need them.

With no warning or announcements, Arrowhead dropped these new upgrades on their delighted fans. There is one for each module of your Super Destroyer and they look like they will definitely come in useful down the line. We just have to collect enough samples before we can try them out.

New Ship Upgrades in Helldivers 2 

Before you can buy the new upgrades, you will have to purchase the previous advancements. They are all level 4 so we can expect some great things when we finally unlock them all. They are extremely expensive so it will take some time to farm all the needed samples but it will give us something to do while we blow the Automatons to pieces. 

XXL Weapons Bay

The Ministry of Defense has figured out how to make room for more bombs in the Eagle's Weapon Bay. The answer was so simple. Take out everything that isn't an explosive.

That means airbags, ejection seats, and the whole fire suppression system have gone. The good news is that all Eagle stratagems that drop multiple bombs will now drop an additional bomb. The pilot might not survive but the bots in Helldivers 2 won't know what hit them. It is going to cost you 150 common samples, 150 rare samples, 15 super samples, and 25,000 R. 

Enhanced Combustion

What is a better way to cause more damage with fire-based weapons than lacing the fuel with a bunch of dangerous chemical accelerants? Nothing is better, so that is what Helldivers 2 decided to do. This will give you a 25% increase in fire damage from stratagems.

The only thing we need to do now is call in the stratagem and watch the bugs scream in agony. We could even use the heat from the blasts to have a barbecue. The Enhanced Combustion Upgrade will cost 200 common samples, 150 rare samples, 15 super samples, and 25,000 R.

Blast Absorption

By reinforcing their armor with expanding peanut-shaped polystyrene, your sentries will now take 50% less damage from explosions in Helldivers 2. The geniuses of Super Earth have been hard at work. I'm not going to ask how they came up with this new idea but as long as it works, it's worth the time collecting samples. It will cost 150 common samples, 150 rare samples, 20 super samples, and 25,000 R.

Atmospheric Monitoring

The best thing Super Earth can offer to help us in our fight is a subscription to a data stream of live weather conditions. It's not Netflix but I suppose if it helps, we can't complain. Now we know what the weather is in Helldivers 2 we will have a 15% reduction in Orbital HE barrage spread. The Atmospheric Monitoring upgrade will cost 200 common samples, 150 rare samples, 15 super samples, and 25,000 R.

Circuit Expansion

The Ministry of Defence in Helldivers 2 has figured out a way to make lightning arcs, fired from weapons and turrets, to jump to one additional enemy. According to the announcement, the upgrade will augment electrical weaponry by safely connecting multiple exterior arc extenders into one long linear chain.

We are not too sure what that means but helldivers don't need to understand it. All we need to know is that it costs 200 common samples, 150 rare samples, 20 super samples, and 20,000 R.

Superior Packing Methodology

Authorize your whole crew to go on an 8-week training course to learn how to pack a box. We are not quite sure what you will do for those 8 weeks but I'm sure you will come up with something. At the end of the training course, your crew will be so good at packing things that all resupply boxes will refill your support weapons with the maximum number of carriable magazines.

It's still not clear if this will affect the Quasar Cannon as it has unlimited uses in Helldivers 2. This upgrade will cost you 150 common samples, 150 rare samples, 15 super samples, and 20,000 R.
