Honkai Star Rail 2.5 Quality of Life Changes

Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.5 is releasing on September 10, 2024, and the developers have started information on what quality of life changes we can expect from the new update.

Casual Mode

Version 2.5 will add a [Casual Mode] to certain Story Battles in Trailblaze Missions, Trailblaze Continuance, and Companion Missions.

This casual mode will reduce the difficulty of the content, allowing players to clear it more easily and progress through the game.

Players will be able to activate this Casual Mode in the setting before entering a battle or after a defeat.

Brief Ability Descriptions

Version 2.5 will allow the options for players to switch between brief and full descriptions of skills.

This will allow players to quickly understand what a character is supposed to do, rather than having to read through a full-blown thesis to try and grasp a character’s kit.

Improved Survival Index Interface

The survival index interface will be adjusted in version 2.5 to make it so that the newest stages will appear first and finding new stages will also be easier.

Additionally, the information display for duplicate materials in Calyx (Golden) has also been reduced, and certain stages are grouped based on their location.

And that is not all! When in the Cavern of Corrosion interface, players can now use the new [Build Character] button at the bottom right that will allow them to select a character to build, and the recommended stages for that character will be pinned at the top.

Furthermore, players can now find the Relevant Character button available in Calyx (Crimson) and Stagnant Shadow screens. Clicking the button will show players what characters use the required materials.

Echoes of War Temporary Early Access

After version 2.5, players will now have the opportunity to farm certain Trace Materials without having unlocked the specific Echo of War.

The Echoes of War that will benefit from this temporary early access are those added in the current version of the game and those containing the current event warp’s limited 5-star character’s required Trace Materials.

Pet Function

Starting with version 2.5, players can get the pet [Tuskpir] through the version main event.

After getting the pet as a reward from the event, players can go to their Inventory to summon or dismiss their pet. Upon summoning [Tuskpir], it will join you on your adventures by running alongside you.

Quick Deploy in Treasures Lightward

After version 2.5, players will now be able to view recommended lineups and quickly copy them in all three modes of Treasures Lightward (Memory of Chaos, Pure Fiction, and Apocalyptic Shadow).

The recommended lineups are formed from data based on recently active players.

Other Changes

After version 2.5, players will now be able to sort their friends by Fried Added Time. Additionally, new friends will be marked with the [New] label.

Lastly, the display of Battle Records in players’ profiles will now include information from Simulated Universe, Divergent Universe, and their expansion modes.
