Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.7 is releasing tomorrow, and those of you who’ve been following the game for some time and saving your Stellar Jade are in luck, as this version brings two amazing characters that you will certainly want to have on your teams. The star of the first phase of the version is none other than Sunday, a character we’re well familiar with from our time on Penacony. There will be two character banners running during the first phase of Version 2.7. These banners will be known as:
- Eyes to the Stars
- Swirl of Heavenly Spear
And they will give players the chance to pull for the characters Sunday (Harmony: Imaginary) and Jing Yuan (Erudition: Lightning).

Eyes of the Stars is the limited-character banner that will give players the chance to pull for the NEW limited 5-star Sunday (Harmony: Imaginary). Sunday is a powerful unit that is certain to make waves in the various tier lists for the game due to his ability to buff characters that use familiars while also instantly giving allies another turn, similar to Bronya. However, unlike Bronya, Sunday does not come with many drawbacks in his kit, making him one hell of a support for a ton of team comps. In addition to Sunday, players will also get an increased drop rate for the following 4-star characters if they decide to pull on his banner.

- Arlan (Destruction: Lightning)

The Swirl of Heavenly Spear is the limited-character banner that will give you the chance to pull for the rerunning 5-star character Jing Yuan (Erudition: Lightning). Jing Yuan is one of the oldest characters in the game and sadly has constantly been dropping in the tier lists due to his poor multipliers and tricky playstyle. Luckily, with the addition of Sunday, Jing Yuan will finally have a dedicated support that will hopefully take care of some of his weaknesses. In addition to Jing Yuan, players will receive boosted drop rates for the following 4-star characters:
- Qingque (Erudition: Quantum)
- Arlan (Destruction: Lightning)
- Tingyun (Harmony: Lightning)

The Light Cone banners this time will feature two 5-star light cones, with one of them new and the other a returning one. The two 5-star light cones are known as:
- NEW A Grounded Ascent
- Before Dawn
A Grounded Ascent is the signature Light Cone for the new 5-star character Sunday, making him even more SP friendly while also further increasing your team’s damage. And Before Dawn is Jing Yuan’s best choice for a light cone due to the massive damage boost that it gives him. Lastly, alongside these 5-star light cones, you will also get an increased drop rate for the following 4-star light cones:
- Poised to Bloom (Harmony)
- The Birth of the Self (Erudition)
- Swordplay (The Hunt)
